Felix groaned softly as he regained consciousness, his body aching with each movement. His hands were still cuffed behind his back, and the cold, metallic sensation was a harsh reminder of his current situation. He blinked rapidly, trying to adjust to the brightness of the light above him. Where am I? What happened? His head pounded like a drum, the throbbing a constant reminder of the blow that had knocked him out earlier.

He tried to piece together the events, but his memory was still clouded. Focus, Felix, he told himself, struggling to clear the fog in his mind. I need to remember what happened.

He shifted, trying to sit up, but his vision blurred, and his head spun. Fuck, this is not good, he thought, trying again to push himself upright. His world faded to black once more before he could steady himself.

When Felix came to again, he could hear voices, low whispers, muffled, but unmistakable. His mind raced with questions, and he strained to stay still, hoping to pick up on something useful.

"I don't know why the boss wanted this one," one voice murmured, the tone distant, as if the speaker wasn't sure themselves.

"It wasn't that big of a risk, though, since we knew they were coming," replied the other, sounding more confident.

Felix's mind was in turmoil. What are they talking about? Was I on a mission? He could barely hold onto the fragments of his thoughts, and the dull pain in his head made it hard to focus. Who wants me?

The two men shifted, glancing over at him, and Felix held his breath, hoping they hadn't noticed he was awake.

"Seems like the boss has a personal interest in him, but that's just a rumor," one of them said, his voice filled with uncertainty.

Felix's heart skipped a beat. Personal interest? His pulse quickened, and he tried to focus harder, desperate for some clarity.

"What do we need to do with him in the meantime?" the other asked, his voice rougher, clearly frustrated.

Before the second man could answer, there was a knock on the door.

"Hey, Changbin is looking for you two," a new voice called from the hallway.

The two men quickly left, their footsteps fading down the corridor. Felix didn't move, counting to twenty in his head before he dared to open his eyes again. The room was still dim, the light still harsh against his sensitive eyes. He groaned softly and shifted again, trying to adjust his position. As he did, his gaze caught a figure standing silently against the far wall.

The figure was tall, dressed in all black, with a baseball hat pulled low over his head. His face was mostly concealed by a mask, save for his eyes. Felix stared at him, his breath catching in his throat. Those eyes... they look so familiar, Felix thought, confusion washing over him. The man's eyes were a warm, dark brown, intense and calculating, but Felix couldn't place him.

The two stared at each other for several long moments, the silence between them thick and heavy. Felix's breath was shallow, his heart pounding in his chest as the figure's gaze never wavered. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the man turned and walked out without a word, leaving Felix alone.

Felix let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of what had just happened. Who is he? He glanced down at his clothes, trying to remember how he ended up here. I was supposed to infiltrate the weapon deal. Did we get captured during the mission? Is anyone else here?

His headache was making it nearly impossible to focus, but he knew he needed to keep his wits about him. He realized then that he should have been wearing his earpiece if he was on the mission, but it was nowhere to be found. They must've taken it out.

The room around him was sparse, just a bed and bare walls. There was nothing he could use to his advantage, nothing that would help him escape. Think, Felix. Think! he thought, frustration mounting. You need to get out of here. You need to find your team.

He pushed himself upright using the wall, wincing at the effort. He was just starting to get his bearings when the door opened again.

"You're awake," a voice said, cold and detached.

Felix didn't respond, instead watching as the man entered, holding a medical bag. He moved toward Felix without hesitation.

"I'm here to look at your wounds," the man said, his voice calm. "Behave, and I won't have to sedate you."

Felix glared at him, not trusting the man's words. He watched closely as the man placed the bag down next to him on the bed. That's a mistake, Felix thought, eyeing the bag. Just wait for the right moment.

"Let's look at this head wound," the man continued, opening the bag and reaching inside for some gauze.

Felix seized the opportunity, leaning back and quickly kicking the man in the stomach. The force sent the man stumbling backward, and Felix scrambled to grab the scalpel from the medical bag. He turned, holding the scalpel in front of him as the man struggled to regain his footing.

"I told you to behave," the man hissed, wiping blood from his lips.

Felix stood, the scalpel ready, his stance defensive. The man lunged at him, swinging his fist, but Felix blocked it and retaliated, bringing the scalpel down across the man's arm. The man cried out in pain, blood dripping down his arm.

"You little..." the man growled, his voice filled with venom.

The man pulled a syringe from his pocket, unscrewing the cap and stepping toward Felix. Felix readied himself, watching his every movement, preparing for another fight. As the man took a step forward, Felix moved to block the punch he thought was coming.

But then, unexpectedly, he was kicked in the stomach, the force knocking the wind out of him. He staggered backward, falling onto the bed. His head hit the wall with a sickening thud, and everything seemed to spin. The world around him blurred as pain surged through his skull. He tried to recover quickly, but the man was already on top of him. Before Felix could react, the syringe was plunged into his thigh.

"Damn it," Felix thought groggily as everything around him went black once again.
