We watch in terror as his eyes open and he declares "all things that are told in stories are mine to control!" Without hesitation, he conjures an army of Cybermen. "Liv run!" I grab her hand and we leg it to the TARDIS, narrowly dodging their laser blasts..
Inside, all we can hear is their lasers hitting the TARDIS "are we safe in here?" "Of course we are but what do we do?!" "Doctor, come on.. Think of something!" "Ok if he is the god of stories then.. We force him to make one real, one strong enough to stop him.. Get a notepad and pen!" Liv nods with a smile and runs off as I grab the Kinetic Gloves..
She soon comes back "ok, we need information.." I switch on the monitor, opening up a live feed between me and him "what are you?" "I am the child.. Of the god of games.." "The Toymaker?" "Indeed, he left me behind in this cursed universe! But then they came.. My servants.. They told me of the Time Lord.. Of the Timeless Child.. And then I knew, I knew he would come if I laid breadcrumbs for him.. The Wasp, the Unicorn, the Mummy, the not-things, the Pied Piper, even Goldilocks! All of it, leading him straight to me... For he cannot resist a mystery.." I just look at him, his burning red hair, his face that looks like everything and nothing at the same time. "Yeah? Well we're gonna stop you!" I turn it off and grab the notepad, proceeding to sit down and write a story..
"Right, this is one he'll never forget" I hand Liv one of the gloves "you ready?" "Always" "good, now I just need some Kinetic Rope as well" "is that the funny red rope?" "Yeah why?" She smiles and goes to grab it "you left it in the box of weird stuff" "oh yeah! I think I was practicing gymnastics, didn't go well.." "Yeah well, we have it, let's go get this son of a bitch" I smirk too and we run out of the TARDIS..
We're soon smack bang in front of him, the Cybermen gone, Swarm and Azure gone too "what happened to your little pets?" "They're of no use to me now.. I reduced them back to what they were, stories.." "You like stories huh?" He merely nods, his eyes still shut, his legs still crossed as he sits atop the seal. "Well, The Nothing.. I've got a story for you.. One you'll never forget.. Now Liv!" She throws the rope onto him and it ties itself around him "gotta love the smart rope!" We use the gloves to pull him off the seal "come on liv! We can't touch the seal!" We struggle but eventually he's on the dirt and dust and gravel with us "are you sitting comfortably?" I ask him, he's struggling and I laugh a little "oh mate, the god of stories doesn't know about the Doctor? The man who stopped the Flux, the man who won the Time War.. The man who defeated your father.." He snarls at me, his face becoming that of a dragons "is that supposed to frighten me?" I laugh again and place my hand on his temple "contact.."
Inside his mind I see flames, a whole plethora of stories come to life, Little Women, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, The Three Little Pigs, I could go on.. "Now, Nothing.. You ready? The Toymaker returned to the universe one more time, having remembered he left his child inside a nebula full of screams.. He saw what he was doing, trying to defeat, perhaps even kill, the Doctor. He shook his head, knowing there's no stopping him.. He let out a heavy sigh and reduced his once beloved child to what he originally was.. A story.." I watch as he screams and I get pushed out of the mindscape..
He struggles to hold himself together, parts of his body turning into numerous things from stories.. As if he's splitting apart at the seams.. Which he is. His final words scare me to my core "the one who waits is still coming Doctor!" He laughs "he's still in your future!" Me and Liv yelp a bit as he explodes into paper.. "Did- did we do it?" She asks, I smile and kneel down, picking up one of the pages "he's nothing more than a story now.. What he used to be.. Because that's what any of us are, in the beginning and the end.. A story..."
