Our first day • Catnap x Dogday • Book 1

Chapter 3 (The critters are alive!!)

~ DogDay's POV ~

"Hey Catnap! Thank you..."

Catnap hugged me as I smiled and petted his head, giving him a quick kiss on the forehead as me and him both blush

He then goes into the shower and I get up, stretching, I hear... chicken noises? KickenChicken!

I look out the door window to see KickenChicken and Hoppyhopscotch!

I wave at them and they head my way, that crazy and scary lady is after them!

I let them in and we hug, Catnap gets out of the shower and freezes as he locks himself in the bathroom. I get upset and whine. I went over to the door and knocked, ignoring their warning's as Catnap hugs me and whines too. I sigh and sooth him as he falls asleep

"Come on Dogday! You seriously can't trust him after what he's done to all of us! He's a monster!" Kicken yells at me, I sigh and get up as I protect Catnap, "He's not a monster Kicken! He's one of us, and if he's a monster then I'm a monster" I say, Hoppy smiles and sighs as she joins my side

Hoppy grabs Kicken's hands and blushes as he gives him and sighs, I smile and hug him, "Alright Alright, fine. But we have to convince the others too" my eyes lit up as I smile more, "Your all alive?!" "Yep! After Picky and Crafty went insane we hid and they actually went back to normal with my help! I knocked them out basically- but still!" I giggle and pat Hoppy's head

Looking back over at Catnap and how he's purring while holding my hand, my heart flutters as I giggle and pick him up. Off we go! I hope the critters accept Catnap...

- After they make it to the hideout -

~ Catnap's POV ~

I couldn't tell how long Dogday was carrying me, but it felt like an hour or well a year. When I opened my eyes I saw Hoppy, Kicken and Picky fighting. Are they.. defending me..?!

Bobby also saw me awake as she waved, she let us in while they fought it out. We were allowed in Bobby's house since no one else would let me stay in there house..

Understandable anyway..

I did hurt them and their friends and proceeded to torture them..

I deserve to be alone. Why would Dogday forgive me? Bobby too!

Idk why.. but all I know is that I'm grateful for this and that I'm still alive. There was a meeting. I fully awakened and hid behind Dogday as Picky eyed me and she, sighed?

I was brought up to the stage where she explained that she was convinced to not hurt me! And gave a good convincing speech to Bubba and everyone else. So they went with her! I guess that everything does work out in the end

Wait a minute..

They're all alive?! But I thought Crafty went insane and killed Bobby! A-And hoppy fell into the pit!! A-An-And...

I sigh as I speak, "Look.. I'm not the best smiling critter, I never meant to hurt any of you! It's all due to the control of the prototype.." I say, they all believe me and I smiled, crying as we all had a big group hug!!

I feel.....happy.....and loved!

I hugged everyone back as I help them rebuild the base and make it stronger. Huggy, Mommy and Boxy attack them often. So while we all slept the reinforcements worked!

I'm just glad I'm finally back with my family.. back with my beloved Dogday, I missed him so much. And he missed me too. Hopefully we can all forget about this in the future and have good laughs about it!
