I blacked out again. Brielle was leaving I know that, but she hadn't quite left the room yet and I just fainted.
It was becoming routine now.
"Is she okay?" Brielle asked as my Mum laid me into the sofa.
"She's fine just now. I just need to check her blood levels and see how thinks are going." The nurse replied.
"I've really got to go home, it's almost half 11, my Mum's gonna kill me." Brielle said to the nurse and my Mum. "Um, Anna, I don't know if you're awake but sorry I have to go. Good luck, and see you soon okay? Bye." I heard her walk out but then run back in, "also, I'll text Becky and tell her your pretty mad, see if you two can sort yourself out. Bye Anna, bye guys." Brielle said and ran out.
I had no idea they were going to be the last words she ever said to me.
After a while, I was sitting on the sofa with my Mum and the nurse. The nurse was staring at the results she got from my injection.
"Audrey," the nurse said, addressing my Mum. "Anna's blood levels are dramatically low, it's all very sudden, I don't know... I think these will be the uh, final days for her."
My mother let out a sob. She choked back tears and I just stared.
"What will, uh, the final days be like?" I asked. My voice came out deep and manly, more a croak because I hadn't talked for so long.
The nurse sighed sadly. "You will have next to no energy, you'll not be hungry, you will feel only a small amount of pain, nothing major. Painkillers should help with that anyway."
I just got up and said I was going to bed.
Wow.
What a day.
