Fiery Mariana

Chapter 1

Once upon a time in a beautiful island called El Herrio lived a beautiful girl named Mariana.She was a very beautiful girl who walked the streets with radiant confidence and glory.Although she was beautiful and charming ,she was often a troublemaker and was known for her mischievous personality.Her best friend Sofia was even more beautiful than her and more popular in school.Although Mariana was always compared to her friend and people preferred Sofia over her,she still loved Sofia like the sister she never had.

"Mariana! I told you to clean the house yesterday yet you decided not to obey me."Camilla shouted in  fury. "But mama I couldn't because I had a very bad fever yesterday." Responded Mariana."My daughter I'm trying to train you to be able to a good and skilled wife someday.Why can't you be like other girls?" said Camilla. "But Mom, I don't want to get married yet .I still want to finish university,build my own career and travel the whole world."responded Mariana. "You know what Mom I'm sick of us arguing every single day because of stupid things. I'm going to school. I'll see you later."said Mariana as she walked out.

"Mariana,Mariana!" screamed Sofia as she ran towards Mariana .Sofia started to scream as if she had been stabbed."What! , what's wrong ,are you okay?"Asked Mariana out of confusion."I'm fine , I'm just so happy"Sofia squeeled like an obsessed swifitie and jumped up and down like she had sugar rush ."So ,I have been longing to tell you this .I got accepted to my dream University."said Sofia as she let out a squeel."Nothing new under the sun ,Sofia gets everything while I get nothing "Mariana said as she rolled her eyes."Bye Sofia." as she walked away."Bye ,where are you going?" Sofia asked in confusion ."I'm going to class"Mariana said as she was leaving. Sofia observed that Mariana looked frustrated and angry,but decided to let her be to come down.But Mariana was avoiding Sofia the whole day . Sofia decided to confront Mariana."Mariana why are you avoiding me ." Sofia said with trustworthy eyes."Mariana broke down and told her everything."I was never jealous of you throughout those years when I was always compared to you. But this is the limit and I do want you to be successful,but the comparison sometimes gets too much ."Mariana said trying her best not to burst in tears."Now that you told me how you truly feel,I will try my best to help you because your my friend and that's what friends do ,they support and help each other " Sofia said trying to reassaure her friend ."Thanks Sofie what would I do without you."Mariana said in delight.The two girls went to the beach as usual to chill.

As Sofia and Mariana were talking and having fun ,Mariana couldn't help but notice a guy staring at them intensely.

"I'm going to quickly get us some beverages, I'll be right back ." said Sofia ."Ok no problem."responded Mariana. When Sofia finally left. Mariana stood up and walked confidently, with eyes as fierce as a tigress towards the guy. The guy didn't get intimidated by Mariana but kept a straight poker face."Hey!" Mariana shouted not caring if people were staring at them."What's your problem dude?!. Don't act like you weren't just staring at me and my friend". Said Marianna.The guy finally stood up and introduced himself as Lucas and said he had been observing the two girls,the way the looked and acted so different but still loved each other dearly."May I please get your number."said Lucas."What!,no of course not."Mariana said looking confused. As she was about to leave Lucas took her hand and pulled her close. They both stood still and gazed at each other for a minute. Mariana then realized how handsome Lucas was up close with his ice blue eyes ."You are very different from other girls,you have a certain type of light that I just can't seem to figure out." Mariana snapped back into reality, pulled away from Lucas and ran away.When she reached home ,she prepared to go to sleep and for a moment thought about all that had happened that day."That was the first time any guy noticed me . Especially when I was with Sofia."she thought to herself as she blushed.
