Fiery Mariana

Chapter 8: Under the sea

Without a second thought Camilla pushed Mariana of the Kliff of El Herrio. Mariana screamed heavily as she was falling until she fell into
the water. As she was waiting for death something else happened. She felt a certain power over her . She was transforming into something magnificent , something enchanting.
Her legs turned into a bright red , shimmering fish tail ,the sides of her neck turned into gills and a portion of her skin turned into scales. She suddenly felt more stronger and her senses we're inhanced. She was faster and stronger than ever.

"Woah." She said. "I feel amazing! Woohoo!" Said Mariana filled with excitement.

She calmed herself and started roaming the ocean looking for Sofia.

"This is hopeless we're will I even start to look for Sofia's body it's too dim to even see anything." She said. All of a sudden she heard a girl's voice. Out of curiosity she followed the mysterious girl's voice. Before she knew it she saw another mermaid with pitch black hair and a sliver shimmering tail.

"Well I guess I'll not the only one." Said Mariana.

"Oh! I didn't see you there what are you doing here?" The mysterious mermaid said.

Mariana new she had to quickly come up with a lie.

"My home was destroyed by a tsunami 3 months ago. Me and my sister got washed away to another ocean and I'm looking for her." Said Mariana. "How awful , if you want I can help you look for her. By the way my name is Galia." The mermaid said. "Yes help would be lovely." Said Mariana.

"Your name by the way?" Asked Galia.

"A...Ar..Arena! Yes my n...nname is Arena." Stuttered Mariana.

Galia chuckled a bit and said "Don't be scared I don't bite." "Please describe what your sister looks like so that we can start tracking her down." Said Galia.

"She has hair as black as night, skin as white as snow , eyes as blue as the ocean and lips as red as a rose." Said Mariana.

"Wait minute! I think I know where your sister is. Follow me."Said Galia.

"Wait." Said Mariana.

"What's wrong?"Asked Galia. "How do I know I can trust you?"

Galia gave Mariana something " When you feel threatened you can use my blood to attract sharks and they'll kill me." She said

"Happy?"

Mariana looked at Galia and sensed truth. "I'll be following you from the
back , lead the way." Said Mariana.

Galia and Mariana swam into the dark. "Hold my hand and don't let go ." Said Galia. Mariana held Galia's hand tightly.

Galia started to swim on turbo speed. The further they went the darker it slowly became. Mariana started to feel her heart pounding viciously.

They swam until they reached a huge deep hole filled with a water tornado.

"Oh no! What do we do now?" Mariana said with her body shaking.

"We go inside." Galia responded.

"What!"

"No no no. Our body especially our skin can't withstand that amount of pressure." Said Mariana.

"We're mermaids remember? That's what the scales are for." Galia said reassuring her.

"Rrr...right."Said Mariana.

"Hold my hand." Said Galia.

"Hm?"Said Mariana.

"I saaaid HOLD MY HAND!" Said Galia in frustration.

Mariana closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Uhm hello, time is what we do not have."  Galia rolled her eyes.

Mariana quickly took Galia's hand and squeezed it tightly. They went inside the water tornado not knowing what to expect. They twirled and swirled in the midst of darkness and heavy pressure. With Mariana trying not to have a panick attack she tried to pull her self together. Mariana had a phobia of darkness and confined spaces due to past trauma meaning that all of this was a nightmare she couldn't escape.

"Galia! Galia where are you?
I shouldn't have trusted you!" Mariana said in a worried and weak tone.

"When is this nightmare going to end." Cried Mariana breathing heavily.

They had survived the heavy tornado before Mariana could have a panick attack.

When Mariana opened her eyes she was shocked to see that she was in a beautiful underwater city filled with colourful and vibrant sea creatures and mermaids. They all lived in harmony in this beautiful paradise. They were beautiful buildings that were indescribable but one that stood out the most was the beautiful castle that shimmered with gold and silver. Mariana seeing all of this was stunned.

"Did we die and go to mermaid heaven?" Said Mariana with her jaw and pride on the floor. Galia chuckled and said "No but I like your imagination. We are in the Great Calypso Cove home to the mightiest mermaid clan in history." 

"The Storm Hearts." Galia said with pride , raising her hands in the air in admiration.

When Mariana heard these very words that come out of Galia's mouth she immediately shivered with fear. She remembered her mother's words when she warned her not to mingle with them. Just as she was about to say something she was interrupted by the sound of a horn.

"Presenting our mighty and strong
savior King Aquarius." Said a  merman. When Mariana turned to look a lot Aquarius she was in shock. Aquarius was none other than Lucas. ( Find out about him in chapter 1).
