"Try to understand... what can I do? I can't control my son. He is out of my control now. I will do something for sure. Trust me" Arvind said and disconnected the call.

He saw Arnav entering the room with a juice glass with a sharp gaze.

"With whom were you talking?" Arnav asked.

"My friend..."

"Friend? Why did you talk about controlling me and I'm out of your control now?"

Arvind was perplexed.

"It seems you heard what I said..." he grinned awkwardly.

Arnav nodded yes.

"He wanted to have a tie-up with you"

"With me?" Arnav tilted his head.

"Yeah, he liked your program organizing company. He is ready to invest in your company if you are ready to accept him as your partner"

"Aman is my partner. We are the owners of our company. We don't want to let anyone enter in between us."

"Do you think a third person could create a rift between you and Aman?"

"No one could create a rift between us. All the partners of a company should have the same wavelength. Then only it works. No one could match mine and Aman's wavelength. So, it won't work"

"Without giving a chance, how could you say that?"

"Because I know what will happen. I and Aman are friends but we don't even know who the third person is. Then what's the point?"

"I know that. that's why I said you won't listen to me"

"If it is true, why were not you happy when I undoubtedly got my life back...? I saw you so happy when the duplicate came but I didn't see the same happiness in your face when Khushi was found. Why did you conflict, Dad?"

"I was guilty... what a big mistake I was supposed to do... I would not have forgiven myself if you had married Hilma instead of Khushi. Thank God, it didn't happen"

Arnav was confused. Did his father really regret it? Was that the reason for his gloominess?
