Taehyung's POV:

Beautiful, that is the word which escaped past my mind when I looked at her. I do not know if it was the alcohol or her who was so enchanting. Her distress looked the most beautiful. I do not know if it is good or bad to observe someone deeply, but I do and what I see when I look at her is pain, pain she is trying to hide. Well, we all have pains, I do too. Pain doesn't has discrimination gladly. I chuckled lightly at the thought.

I slightly took away my orbs off her and ordered yet another glass of beer. Is a prince allowed to come randomly at bars? No he is not. Infact it is the first time ever I have escaped from the palace to come to a place like this. Ironically, I wanted some peace and I do not know how to put it in words, but this was a kind of peace amidst the chaos.

What I did not know was having this girl besides me who seemed too lost in her world until I came and sat beside her. She still seemed somewhat lost in her thoughts but I know I had intrigued her mind a little. I wanted to share my pains, to let to go of them for one night if possible. To just sit and talk about life and at that moment, she is the only one whom I thought I could share it with. Who would want to talk about it than her here at this place, where all I could see is sticking bodies and unwanted sounds which I absolutely hate!

I cleared my throat to get her attention as she looked at me and I finally spoke, "Breakup?" and regretted the words the next second, because, oh how absurd to start a conversation like this.

Your POV:

Deep. His voice was deep like an ocean. I was processing his voice and did not catch the words he wanted to convey. "Sorry?" I asked to hear what he wanted to say. But what he said next made me chuckle, rather sadly.

"I asked, is it because of a breakup that you look so sad?" He asked and I, with a little smile retorted, "Only if it was as silly as a breakup to cry over." The look in his eyes was unreadable as we gazed at each other for a few seconds. He did not spoke a word and faced ahead.

"I understand." He muttered and ordered a drink for himself. "You looked so because I do not expect girls to dress so cutely in a floral printed frock at a bar" He chuckled at this surprisingly, but I had to choke on my saliva. Did this man just praise me or mock me? He turned his eyes to me with a small smile.

I huffed a little. "That's my work attire and I am heading here straight from there as certainly handling some extraordinary people is hard and you have to calm your nerves down with a drink to vent up your frustrations!" I finished with a deep breathe just for him to giggle at it. That sounded so good.

"Well I am interested to know more" he stated with his eyes sparkling and I rolled my eyes before facing him completely. Now, he looked more normal and not cold. It almost felt as if he is not a godamn prince I am talking to. I wondered if we should introduce to each other despite me knowing him already. Atleast by his name. Anyways, I thought to let the things be as they were and started narrating the story from the morning. Finally, I could take my annoyance away talking this out. Satisfaction!

"So I work at this café down the street called 'Lavender bakes...." You started off with the gossip.

"....and then I could finally breathe in relief when I told him that whoever the girl he was searching for was not here and in the park about 10 kms away. I almost wanted to laugh out loud when he grabbed my hands muttering loud thank you's and ran away from there searching for his girl" She spoke all while laughing and the boy too had a good laugh. "That was hilarious!" He said and laughed more. For a moment, her eyes landed on him and the way his eyes were crinkled up while giggling made her heart happy. Something, she felt after a long and it was strange to get comforted from a stranger like this.

"God your life is so moving... miss uhh-?"
"Y/N, Kang Y/N" she introduced herself to his bafflement and he nodded. "Miss Y/N..." he trailed with a smile. So after having conversation for such a long time, it is now that you are introducing to each other. Weird but sweet.

"You probably know me" he said and she shook her head, "not really" she smiled mischievously. "Oh that's something new", he chuckled for which she giggled and said, "I do know you dear prince, Kim Taehyung" and he smiled a little at this playful barter. He felt happy with her. He felt at peace. "Well, you feel too comfortable to talk to a prince like this?" He asked and she let out a soft chortle.

"I thought you were a human first" she smiled. "Oh wait! Am I supposed to bow to you?" She asked almost immediately, about to get up and he shook his head with a smile. "I do not like such formalities anyways, so please don't" he said. They talked some more. He did not say much about his life. It was all hers they were talking about, her funny incidents to be precise.

She looked at him for a moment after a while and he did too. The silence sometimes is a killer, he was used to it, she was used to it. But right at the moment, the same silence did not at all felt dreadful. The silence between them was beautiful despite the place they were in. They were in a cocoon of what felt like a warm blanket for them to even decipher the surroundings.

"It is my first time coming here and talking to a boy like this for the first time, oh and not to mention how I have hitted the jackpot to talk to a literal prince!" She spoke. "It is my first time to come here too and talk to a girl like this, oh and not to mention how I have hitted the jackpot of speaking to such a pretty girl for the first time ever in my life!" he copied and there was a smile exchanged, a sincere one, a genuine one. There was a silence again, a much needed.

"So what is that makes you not feel like others or more precisely what a prince should feel like, Mr prince charming?" She whispered and to which he asked back, "What is that which makes you wear a mask of happiness when in reality you look like having so much running in your head Miss Y/N?" An eye contact. They knew it. They knew that behind the happiness they shared, there was a story. A story which they were trying to let go of that moment by actually talking it out.

"Sometimes, the wounds need to be exposed to finally heal them"

___________________________________________

There we go with the second part. I have always wrote short stories. Have even tried writing a series, but I felt I rushed a lot of feelings there. That is why I kept my other story, "MISTER KIM" on hold. Here, I am starting off new. Though I still feel like I have a lot to learn but learning is the first step to make things better.

I really want to know your views on this. I know I do not have much readers, but I would like if you support me by voting and commenting your thoughts. Writing is an escape for me, sometimes it reflects me. I love writing but a little motivation is what will really push me to be better. I hope you have a good time here. I would like to talk to you and converse with you throughout this series so that I can know my readers better.

Have a great day ahead ✨️
