Was it strange that you felt so close to a person you barely knew? Well, when you have no one to talk to all your life and suddenly you get to showcase your pains, the person hearing you instantly becomes close. He watched the scar for too long. Wondering the possibilities of how it was painted there? Painted? No it seemed tainted there; yet it was beautiful in his eyes. Because it showed how brave you were to face it.
"I went for an interview for a job..." You started and his eyes twitched to look at you. "It was all fine, the conversation was normal, until...." you gulped hardly and he sensed your discomfort. He gave you a ressuring smile along with a nod to tell you he would not judge anything. He had predicted your next words somehow. He sensed that fear rooted in you. Your eyes told it.
"He touched me Taehyung, he had his hand on my thigh and I shrugged it off. But that dirty smirk didn't leave his lips. Before I could process anything, he stood up from his seat and I was pinned to the wall" his hands found yours. "Let it go Y/N", he whispered only for you to hear.
You took a deep breathe. "He tried all the things he should not do. He tried to hover his lips over mine, I dodged him. He tried to force himself on me Taehyung... and then he suddenly turned me around. I didn't notice the shelf behind me and I collided right on my front. That was the sharpest pain I have ever felt" you could not stop your tears this time and he immediately wiped off your tears whispering sweet nothings.
That gave you the courage to continue. The man infront of you spoke nothing and simply listened to you and you were more than grateful for that. He did not wanted to interrupt you because he knew you were sharing a part with him you have caged in your heart. Maybe for a night, but you trusted him enough at that moment. Alcohol truly makes you brave to speak the most vulnerable thoughts but maybe it wasn't just alcohol. It was all that you ever wanted to do. So you continued.
"Though it hurted me, I wasn't going to give up. There was a book on the shelf and before he could do anything more, I grabbed it and with all the force I had left within me, I turned around and banged it on his head." You looked at him to see a little smile lingering on his lips. As if he was proud of you to do that. He indeed was.
You couldn't help but return that smile, caressing the fingers entwined around yours. "And I ran away, as fast as I could. That was the day I realised how two faced this world could be. I tried to complain a lot about him, but that bustard had his tricks to showcase me the wrong one. It broke me, shattered me. If felt I was the wrong one when I don't even know where I was wrong protecting myself. In turn, I was blamed with words I could never imagine to be associated with me. People called me a whore and I started to believe it-" you hiccuped and faced the ground.
You heard him growl a little as you looked up at him. There was rage in his eyes. As if he was trusting you even when the world did not. "YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT THAT Y/N" he said looking straight in your eyes. His hold around you tightened. "I see it in your eyes. I see what you have gone through and I am absolutely hating the way you are blaming yourself. Cannot you see you were never wrong butterfly?"
Butterfly. He adressed you butterfly and you looked deep into his eyes. You did not knew if he said it casually but that one word felt like heaven to you. A butterfly whose wings are cut. You felt safe even if it was momentarily. He looked raged as if he knew how it felt to be blamed. There was a silence, a comfortable one. A needed one and then were his next words.
"You do not deserve what happened to you Y/N and even if we cannot change it, it doesn't mean you will keep on blaming yourself like that, is it?" His voice was deep, raspy, yet soft and soothing. Something that went straight to your heart. "I tried Taehyung, but no one believed me. I got the job at the café because the owner of the café was not aware of the blames the society had put on me. Call it luck and her need for someone to run the cafe due to her health conditions, was that I got the job or else I do not how would I have survived. That was how bad that man had shamed my name. Said, I used him and ran away"
