"Get up!" Cassidy heard Steve shaking her sleeping body "fuck off!" She yelled back "No. You better not be high anymore. You slept for awhile."
"And while you where asleep i told Nova-" Steve became quiet as Cassidy threw him a pillow "Shut up. Look im awake" She sat up "Okay good. ."
"Was i really out for that long?" She rubbed her eyes "Yep. Your coming with me to apologize to Nancy" He showcased a bouquet of flowers "Shouldn't she bring apologizing?" Cassidy recalled "Dosent matter. Just hurry up."
Steve stormed outside the house, as Cassidy grabbed her sunglasses. Steve beeped at her with each step she took. "Hopefully the horn breaks" She smiled "Dont say that!" He started driving
"Why are you all dressed up tho?" He questioned "Might be going out later" Steve only hummed
"So how should i say sorry to her?" He ranted "Oo how about 'nance i should be apologizing-" Steve cut her off "No! God i thought you where good at this!" He complained "I am! Its just different" Steve pulled into the driveway "Wait here" He scowled "Dont talk to yourself!" She yelled as he walked on the lawn
"Hi dustin" Cassidy smiled awkwardly as he entered the back of the car "Did you just get in the car willingly or did steve kidnap you?" She questioned "Came willingly. I need help with something."
"So fancy, for fighting things out of this dimension"
"Im going on a date"
"A date in the middle of practical war?" Dustin joked "Are you going on a date with the Demogorgons or what?" He laughed
"Shut up lets go."
"Cassidy are you sure you dont want me to drop you off?" Steve asked "Im sure, why? Am im gonna get into trouble" She was getting suspicious "Nope. Just know that your getting yourself into this" Dustin muttered. Steve was playing 'Hammer to fall' on the stereo as they sat in silence. Steve and Dustin where arguing about a certain creature as they pulled into the Henderson residence
"Do you just have a random bat in your car?" Cassidy seemed surprised "Just in case" He shrugged making his way to the basement where the creature was apparently at. Steve opened up the basement flashing the flash light. "Ill stay up here if you know tried to escape" Dustin explained
"Yeah same, just in case Dustin needs back up" Steve sighed shaking his head before going in "So what's this creature" Cassidy became interested "It's from another dimension called 'the upside down' and i named it dart" Dustin explained "Another dimension?" Her eyes widened "Yep that's where Will went missing" Dustin said it like if it was normal "Totally not weird, totally."
"I would explain more but i need visuals and everyones side of the story" Dustin seemed excited explaining "Steve is taking awhile dont you think" Cassidy glared down into the basment not being able to see the boy "Steve?" Dustin called out, Steve flashed his flashlight up. Scaring Cassidy and Dustin as they jumped back holding onto eachother like babies.
"Get down here" He instructed "Sorry that was reflexes" Dustin murmured "Ew what is that!" Cassidy noticed "Oh shit!" Dustin repeated noticing a hole in the basement wall.
The group had spent all night running around stores to pick up all the supplies they might need. Steve got buckets and gloves. Cassidy had picked up raw meat for bate. Dustin had gotten gasoline from his basement. Dustin was now talking to Lucas through the phone as the older duo got the things ready
Steve help onto the buckets and Cassidy held the backpack and bat. "Are you sure i can trust you with the bat?" Steve wasn't sure if Cassidy could be trusted with a bat with nails "Yes Steve, i got it" She rolled her eyes. The group kept walking on train tracks throwing the beat. Steve was getting after Dustin for keeping 'dart'
"You kept it in order to impress a girl who you just met?" Steve mentioned as Cassidy got interested "What girl?" She joined "Get out the conversation" Steve pushed her "Shut up"
"They key with girls is just acting you like you don't care" Steve taught Dustin "Dont listen to Steve. That is not true" She shook her head at her bestfriend stupidity "It drives them nuts"
"If it drives us nuts, that's because its not a good thing" Cassidy took over, Steve started connecting feelings to a storm and electricity. "A sexual electricity" Cassidy hit Steves arm "He's 13 you idiot!"
"Not sexual electricity. More like a spark. A connection towards a person. When they make you feel something towards them that you've never felt" Cassidy explained it better "Yeah. That and then you make the move"
"Steve your so bad at this" Shaking her head "This girls special too. There's something about her" Steve stoped mid way "Your not falling in love are you?" Dustin instantly denied
Steve admitted to Dustin how he does his hair. "Farrah Fawcett" Cassidy held back a laugh "Shut up Cassidy i stole it from you!"
After lots of bickering they finally made it to the junk yard. Throwing more meat with each step they take. Lucas soon approached "Nova? I thought you where at home" Cassidy instantly noticed her sisters presence "Oops?" She smiled walking away with Max
Cassidy stayed with the younger girls helping them pick up old junk. "Your Max right?" Cassidy asked "Yep. and Your Cassidy" She replied back helping the boys load things into the bus. They finished guarding the outside and finished the trail of meat and gasoline. Before closing themselves in
Max started asking Steve questions as he nodded he was lazy to speak. Dustin started getting mad at her "Past your bedtime?" Max joked around, before going on top of the bus roof. "Holy shit!" Cassidy was startled hearing a loud growl from outside "See anything?" Steve was peaking out the window "Nope" Lucas started yelling information from the roof
Steve walk away picking up his bat "What are you doing?" They asked worried "Just get ready" Steve walked outside with his bat "Steve get out of there!"
Cassidy grabbed a sharp piece of metal as she opened the door protecting the kids "Steve get it!" They yelled as he ran inside shielding the door with a piece of aluminum. The bus was getting attacked. The demogorgons left as more growling was heard in the distance. Cassidy had noticed her sister holding onto Max's hand but decided to say nothing.
Steve opened the door carefully with his bat still in his hand "i think they ran off" Cassidy mumbled "No they're going somewhere."
