Chapter 33

When Issei, Raynare, and Koneko arrived back in the Hyoudou residence, Issei looked for Irina to give her a new sword. But first, Issei had to use his Heavenly Flames of Transmogrification to change the shape of the sword into a katana, as that was Irina's preferred weapon. How would Issei know this? Easy, when Irina had the Excalibur Mimic, she would often use a katana as the main form.

Once Issei was done changing the shape, he knocked on Irina's room. Not long later, Irina opened the door, and she looked at Issei.

"Hey, Irina," Issei said. He looked at Irina, who was ready for bed. "I got something for you. I know that you've been using my Balmung to train, but I can tell that you're quite uncomfortable with its size and shape. So, I got this for you".

Issei took out the newly shaped Galatine and handed it to Irina.

When Irina took the sword, she was surprised at the amount of Holy energy it contained. It was only slightly weaker than Excalibur.

"Where did you get this?" Irina asked. She inspected the sword and felt that it was stronger than her Excalibur Mimic. The only difference was that it couldn't change shape. "This is a powerful Holy sword. What's it called?".

"If I remember correctly, Michael called it Galatine," Issei said. Truth be told, Issei almost laughed when Irina called Galatine a powerful Holy sword. "I know this is considered a powerful Holy sword, but let me tell you, this is nothing compared to some of the Holy swords that I know".

Issei wasn't lying. Galatine that he was given was strong but not to Issei's standard. With the [Divine Sword Knowledge – God], Issei has a list of the Infinite Reality's swords. From the weakest sword to the most powerful such as Ea. If it exists, Issei can search it within his [Divine Sword Knowledge – God].

"Hold on a minute, did you say this is Galatine," Irina said. She was shocked. Galatine was a sister sword to Excalibur. Irina was curious as to why Michael would give the sword to Issei. "How did you get this?".

"Michael had a trade with me," Issei said. Frankly, Issei wouldn't have agreed to accept to fuse the swords if Irina didn't require a 'powerful' sword. He could have given Irina one of the swords he forged himself, but Irina isn't strong enough to wield them. "I fused Excalibur Blessing to the Fused Excalibur. In exchange, they gave me Galatine".

"Whoa! That's quite amazing. I can't believe they would use Galatine to barter," Irina said. She knew how important Excalibur was to the church, but to barter one of their other Holy swords is something. But then Irina realised that Galatine was a western sword, not a Japanese one. So, how was it a katana? "Wait a minute. Galatine is supposed to be a long sword, but this is a katana. Are you sure this is Galatine?".

"Don't worry, that's Galatine, the real one," Issei said. Irina's reaction is normal. After all, it's not every day someone comes along and changes the form of a weapon. "I used an ability that I have called Heavenly Flames of Transmogrification. It can change the shape of any inanimate object covered in its flames. I could also use the flame to fuse multiple weapons to make them stronger. I can even use the flame for Alchemy".

"That sounds like an overpowered ability," Irina said. Just one of the abilities of the flame that Issei mentioned was already impressive, but it had multiple functions? That's just too much. "I swear, I left you for seven years, and you became such a powerful person. Looking at you, I felt that I've wasted the last few years".

"You know, you shouldn't compare yourself to me," Issei said. It was pointless for Irina to compare herself to Issei. After all, she didn't have a system like he did. "But, if you want, I can help you get stronger. All you have to do is ask".

Irina smiled at Issei. Being with Issei made Irina feel safe and could rely on him for any hardship that she was going through, just like when he comforted her when she found out that God was dead.

Issei and Irina talked for a few more minutes. After that, Issei headed back to his room, where Raynare was already prepared for bed. Issei was planning to head to a new world tomorrow. He wanted to take Raynare with him. So, he was planning to speak with her about it.

"Hey, Raynare, do you want to go on a date with me?" Issei asked. Raynare looked at Issei. She didn't know why Issei would suddenly ask her about going on a date when she knew that he promised to take Akeno on a date a few days ago. "This wouldn't be a normal date. It's special, and I want you to be the first person I do this with".

"What kind of date would it be?" Raynare asked. A special date? Although she didn't know what the special date would be like, she was excited. "I don't mind going, but didn't you promise Akeno that you'd take her on a date?".

"I did, but like I said, I want you to be the first person to go on this special date with me," Issei said. He was smiling at Raynare. Here, Raynare was considerate of the other girls who wanted to be with Issei to the point that she was reminding him of his promises. "I'll be taking Akeno on a date once we get back from our date. I promised her a date, and I'll give her the date of her life, but you get to be the first".

"Now you got me curious about this special date," Raynare said. How special would the date be that Issei wants her to be the first one to experience it. But for Issei to think of her being the first to experience it made her feel special. "Can you tell me a bit of detail about this date?".

"Hey, that would be ruining the surprise," Issei said. He didn't want to ruin the surprise of heading to another world. "Tomorrow, we're heading out. "But, I can tell you that it would be a place you've never been to before. No matter how old you are or if you've been around the world, I'm sure it wouldn't have been to this place before".

Raynare was even more surprised. Being a member of Grigori, Raynare has been looking for Sacred Gear wielders for Azazel. So, it's safe to assume that she's been everywhere. But for Issei to be sure that she hasn't been to the location for the date, it must be a special place that no one can enter as they pleased.

"Are you just overhyping?" Raynare asked. Her voice had this tone that she doubted her own question as she knew Issei isn't that kind of person, "Never mind, I don't believe that you're the type of person to overhype something".

"Come on, let's head to sleep," Issei said. He wondered what kind of facial expression Raynare would make when she found out that the date wouldn't be on Earth. "We have a big day ahead of us".

Raynare rolled her eyes. Issei was one of the most unpredictable people she's ever met. For example, the guy was able to make the Infinite Dragon God as a little sister. There is the fact that Issei was able to form a familiar contract with a Dragon that was meant to be sealed in the Boosted Gear. Then he was able to suppress Sirzechs Lucifer, the strongest Devil in history.

Scratch that, Raynare was excited as to what the location of the date would be. There was no way Issei would call it special if it was something ordinary. After all, it was nothing special to Issei when he tamed and brought the Red Dragon Emperor back to life. Who's to say that the word 'Special' is something that isn't lightly used by Issei. The excitement that Raynare was feeling was almost too much that she couldn't sleep. Still, with Issei sleeping beside her and hugging her, she felt too comfortable to not fall asleep.

The following morning, Issei and Raynare was packing the things they needed like clothes, Toothbrush, etc. Raynare didn't know why they would need it, but she did as Issei suggested and brought it with her.

Once their preparations were done, Issei spoke to his parents and told them his goodbye. Issei knew that it wouldn't take that long from his parents' and other's perspective, but he still wanted to say goodbye.

'Send me to a place where I can collect Alchemical ingredients,' Issei said to the system in his mind. Whenever Issei speaks to the system, it's always within his mind. 'I want to look for herbs to help my parents regain their youthful looks, strengthen their body and spirit etc. And the only way to do that without relying on chemicals is by making alchemy pills'.
