A few hours ago. Raynare arrived in a settlement on top of a mountain. She asked where she was, and the people replied with Heavenly Fate Plateau.

Raynare looked around, and the place seemed reasonably safe from the Demon Beast that she had encountered earlier. One of the demonic beasts was a monkey, and the other was a horse-like demonic beast. Raynare wondered if it would be tameable if sent to Issei's Dimensional Farm.

While Raynare was thinking. A lot of the people of Heavenly Fate Plateau were staring at her.

"Which family do you think that young madam is from?" One of the people asked another person.

"Her clothes are quite exquisite," Another person said.

"Do you think she is someone from the clan?" A man asked.

"I don't think so. I've never seen her around the clan before," a woman near the man who asked said.

"With the way she's dressed, at least we know she isn't from the low lands," The man beside the woman said.

'Hmm...this place doesn't seem half bad,' Raynare thought. After all, there seemed to only be a single way up the settlement. That is, if you are incapable of flying. Looking around, Raynare realised that the people seemed relatively thin. 'Are they not getting enough food? That would make sense since they have only one way down the mountain, and it's filled with Demon Beasts'.

Finding a place to sit down, Raynare saw a congee shop. She took a sit on one of the empty seats.

"Old man, give me four of the best congees," Raynare said. The old man perked up after here Raynare's order. "Scratch that, make it five. I'm quite famished after travelling a few hours to get here".

One of the workers gasped after hearing Raynare say that she travelled a few hours to get to Heavenly Fate Plateau. That would make Raynare a traveller or a Demon Beast Fighter, which is impressive.

"Are you someone from the outside world?" The woman asked. Raynare nodded at her. "That's wonderful. I heard that the outside world is dangerous and filled with Demon Beasts".

"True, there are a lot of Demon Beast outside, but they are mostly at the foot of the mountain. If you get past that, there are a lot less," Raynare said. That was true, a lot of Demon Beast is congested at the foot of the mountain but get past them, and you'd be seeing far less Demon Beast. "By the way, what kind of currency do you use here?".

"We use copper coins," The woman said. She then took out a few to show Raynare. "Other than that, we do trades".

The coins that the woman showed Raynare were similar to the coins that she took from the dead bodies of the people she killed on her way to Heavenly Fate Plateau. Raynare didn't kill those people for fun. It was purely self-defence as they tried to attack and rape her. Too bad they didn't know how strong Raynare was.

"Here, can you check if these are the same coins?" Raynare asked. The woman then nodded at her, confirming the coins were the same as the currency. "Thankfully, I could find some on my way here".

Present time. Issei was resting in the inn when he heard people breaking in. Of course, they couldn't. However, Issei let them in. He wanted to see who dared to send an assassin to kill him.

Issei pretended to sleep. One of the assassins sent to kill him didn't hesitate to attack and stab Issei in the heart. However, the dagger snapped and ricocheted towards the assassin's head, killing him.

"What the hell is this kid's body made of?!" One of the assassins shouted. He was then silenced by one of the other assassins. He then whispered. "Sorry! I was just shocked".
