Apparently, Inara thought it would be a good idea to sneak into Yara's room and snoop around. I'm pretty sure that this is invading her privacy. Is this even allowed? "Zaiden, look," Inara tosses me a framed picture and it falls to the ground. Thankfully, it doesn't shatter. Picking it up, it's a picture of Yara and I when we first met when we were kids. The butterfly clips I put in her hair to annoy her. That day was memorable, she kept the picture and I can't help but smile as the memories of us together return to me. Everything she does is so adorable.

Inara snatches the picture from me to see for herself. "Ooh, she's cute? How old was she?" she smiles, inspecting the picture closely. "We were eleven," I reply as she hands it back to me. "What are we looking for, exactly?" I honestly don't want to unravel Yara's room any further, but I do want to snatch that novel on her desk. I would only do that if she let me. "A specific letter I gave her," I watch Inara fish into Yara's drawer, pulling out a ripped letter. "Awh man, she ripped it," she frowns, sighing as she throws over the pieces of the letter as if I am a trash can. Rude.

"Let's get out of here and back to the others, no hope here anymore," she walks past me and I trail her from behind. I hope Yara doesn't mind us sneaking into her room. If she does, I'll make it up to her.

We're back at base, it's basically a cave. I take a seat on the uncomfortable wooden seat that Kadeen made out of a log. I take off my jacket before grabbing my backpack. Before I can look for what's inside, Laira sits beside me. "You were so cool yesterday, Zai," she compliments me with a nickname that I'm not comfortable with. I hate that name. "Oh yeah? What did I do?" I question her, trying to play along. "The part where you attacked that Ayanna girl," she exclaims, ever so excitedly. Ayanna as in Yara? What is she talking about? I would never hurt Yara, not ever in a million years. Even if she ends up as my enemy.

"Where did you hear that?" I ask, but Laira looks at me as if I'm crazy. "I was literally there. You gave her a nosebleed and used her dagger to cut her sleeve, and then you teleported us away," she explains and I don't believe such a story. I haven't even seen Yara in weeks. "Laira, I can't teleport," I'm getting quite annoyed now. "Stop lying, of course you can," she giggles, nudging me on the shoulders before I stand up.

I walk into a room to find Kadeen and Ethan working on weapons. "Oh hey, Zaiden. Toss me that pocket knife on the table, would you?" Kadeen asks me as I grab it and toss it towards the both of them. Crouching down, my gaze shifts towards the weapons they've made. I decide to ask about the event Laira has been talking about. "Hey, do you guys know anything about me attacking Yara?" Kadeen nods at my question. "Yeah, Laira hasn't shut up about that. But I don't believe her, not after you basically couldn't shut up about Yara," Ethan adds, his tone so genuine. I was with Inara the whole day yesterday, so then who was Laira with?

It's almost sunset and Inara invited me to accompany her to practice her combat by taking out some people. I'm watching her practice her archery on a cliff, my legs dangling down the edge as she aims her arrow towards an enemy at the bottom of the mountain. "What's with Laira?" she questions me, releasing the arrow, hitting her target. "No idea, she says I somewhat got Yara injured yesterday," I answer and Inara huffs out in frustration. "We both know you wouldn't hurt her no matter the circumstances. Personally, I don't believe Laira's little story and you don't seem the slightest bit aware of the incident," she takes her aim and shoots again.

She inspects what's by the foot of the mountain but instead of aiming, she seems curious as to what it was. "Zaiden, look," She calls out to me, so I look towards where she's aiming. "Yara," she says, I'm surprised that Yara is out so late in the day, especially during times like this. "You wanna go say hi?" I question and Inara nods her head. Though, her expression doesn't look pleased by the situation.
