Chapter 4: A Turn of Fate

"Manager Ji Yeon, you catch on to the work so quickly! Anyone would think you've been working here for over a year."
That was a common statement from her colleagues whenever they had team meetings.

"Everyone in the team has been helping me out, so that's why I've been able to learn the work quickly. I'm very grateful to all of you."
"Do you lack anything, Manager? You're pretty, you work well, and even this humility! If I had a brother, I'd set you two up."
Joo Yeon, a deputy in the same team, continued to compliment Ji Yeon.

Listening to people's hopeful voices like this, Ji Yeon felt an inexplicable expectation, as it seemed like she could have more fun at work.

Just as the meeting ended and everyone was returning to their seats, Ji Yeon received a call.

"Hello, ma'am! This is Nemo Real Estate. The property we talked about last time is now available. When can you visit?"
"Oh my! Really? I can make it after work, by 6:30."
Ji Yeon, who had the opportunity to see the house in person, was completely captivated by the house, which was even more beautiful than in the photos.

Through the large window, which would undoubtedly look even more beautiful in the full daylight, the beautiful landscape in front of the house was visible.

The first floor is a residents' cafeteria, and the second floor is a private gym that only residents of this building can use. And the third floor and the fourth floor above are the only residences. The parking lot is on the basement second floor."
Listening to the endless praise for this house, Ji Yeon, who was already half convinced, was definitely set on signing a contract.

When the realtor left the room, Ji Yeon looked around the house in more detail, and then stood in front of the elevator to go to the basement parking lot.

"Should I walk?"
But just then, the elevator doors opened.

Inside, there was already a very tall man who was looking at his phone with his hood on, so his face was not visible.

'Must be the person living upstairs. I should greet them when I move in. It would be nice if they're a good person.'
