Thus, Eun Ji Yeon's three years of married life had amounted to nothing.

With her mind gone numb, Ji Yeon composed herself and exited the community center, heavily sinking onto a bench nearby.
"That bastard, that crazy son of a bitch. He didn't even report it. Cha Min Woo, this trash..."
No matter how much she cursed, her anger did not subside.

Suddenly, a bitter taste filled her mouth and she felt dizzy. She rested her head on the bench, closing her eyes.
'I had nothing with Cha Min Woo? The time when I loved him, the time when I sacrificed myself to accommodate him meant nothing?'
Her whole body was shaking, making it hard for her to even stand up right away.

Thankfully, her boss had permitted the project team to come in on Monday afternoon, so she had to pull herself together before heading to work.
'I need to get a grip. This is not the time to be flustered.'
She absolutely did not want such a trashy person to impact her precious everyday life.

Ji Yeon immediately contacted Attorney Kim, who was handling her divorce- related documents, and visited his office.
"What are you saying? The marriage report between you, Ms. Ji Yeon, and Mr. Cha Min Woo wasn't made at all? Ah... I had not considered such a situation at all."
Attorney Kim was taken aback and troubled.
"These documents were prepared under the premise that your legitimate marriage was maintained. If there was no marriage report, these contents are void. Since there was no marriage, legally you two are strangers, which means you don't need a divorce."
He looked at Ji Yeon with a pitying expression.

"Ms. Ji Yeon, you can file a lawsuit to prove your de facto marriage and receive compensation and property division, but it will be a significantly lower amount than the previously presumed alimony. And since Mr. Cha Min Woo wasn't your legal spouse, he could refuse to pay alimony and only pay for the lawsuit expenses."
Money was not a problem at all.
"And if Mr. Cha Min Woo's infidelity was the problem in this marriage, even in a de facto relationship, you can sue the mistress. Please think about it carefully and let me know."
Ji Yeon's trembling was conveyed to Attorney Kim's hand patting her back.
"Your divorce was a surprise, but the fact that you didn't even have a marriage registration... I'm not sure how to console you. I couldn't check because I couldn't imagine it. I apologize."
"Why would you, Attorney, have to apologize? Cha Min Woo, who caused this outrageous incident, is the bad one."
'And it's also my fault for believing only in him, not checking a single document, and living like a naive fool cut off from the world.'
Upon leaving the attorney's office, Ji Yeon felt nauseous and on the verge of vomiting, leaning against the wall for a while.

She couldn't remember how she managed to get home with her disoriented body.

When she came to her senses, she realized she was sitting at the dining table, blankly staring into space.

Her pale face was drenched in cold sweat, and her body was shaking slightly. Ignoring her physical state, she forced herself to change clothes and make herself presentable.

Her ghostly reflection appeared in the mirror.

With both hands, she harshly slapped her face and mumbled to herself.
"Pull yourself together. Don't get weak."

She hastily sipped a mouthful of water to moisten her parched mouth, then headed towards the underground parking lot.

If she left now, she would barely make it to the office by 1 PM, so she hastened.

At work, Ji Yeon had to use superhuman strength to focus and not break down.

The conversations she had had with Attorney Kim earlier kept spinning in her head, but she tried to forcibly erase them.

Indeed, Ji Yeon's physical and mental state wasn't in any condition to work, but she stubbornly persisted.
'Cha Min Woo, I won't let you affect my life, my time, not even a speck because of you. I won't do it anymore because of someone like you.'
Despite the dizziness that increased while pretending to work and sorting documents, she gritted her teeth and foolishly endured.
