"I'm not free." Davina murmured. Although the news of Roberts near demise was nice to hear. Cersei was still a monster and would surely make her life even more difficult.

"You are not dead either." Gregor reminded her.

"He wants my little sister dead. She is pregnant apparently." Davina remarked. "Sent out men to kill her and her baby and our brother, Viserys... I'm safe for now but the message to kill off my siblings surely hasnt changed."

"His Grace has had a change of heart concerning Daenerys Targaryen." Ned countered getting back onto brighter topics. "Whatever arrangements you made, unmake them. At once."

" I'm afraid those birds have flown. The girl is likely dead already." Varys corrected, Barristan's face fell at that news.

"And no one is to touch Davina." Ned demanded. "She is still innocent in all this. She isnt her father." Barristan nodded thankful that Davina had befriended Ned.

"As you wish, lord hand..."

"Robert is dead." Ned remarked.

"I wish I could be happier, are you here to tell me its time for my beheading?" Davina pondered.

"No. Robert wanted to make ammends."

"That doesnt sound like him." Davina corrected.

"I might have encouraged him a bit." Ned added. "You are safe."

"Until Joffrey ascends." Davina corrected.

"Robert named me protector of the realms. You will be safe as long as I am in charge." Ned corrected. "I promise."

"Does Joffrey know? Does Cersei?"

"Joffrey is a bastard."

"Of Cersei and Jaime. Yeah. I know." Davina agreed. "But that doesnt change the fact that the lannisters kind of own the world."

"You knew?"

"Anyone that is anyone knows." Davina assured. "Be careful making those accusations in front of Cersei."

"I already did."

"You are fucked, Ned." Davina decided.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"All hail his Grace, Joffrey of Houses Baratheon and Lannister, the first of his name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm."

"I command the council to make all necessary arrangements for my coronation." Joffrey demanded. "I wish to be crowned within the fortnight. Today I shall accept oaths of fealty from my loyal councilors."

"Ser Barristan, I believe no man here could ever question your honor." Ned remarked walking forward scroll in hand.

"King Robert's seal. Unbroken." Barristan declared breaking it open. "Lord Eddard Stark is herein named Protector of the Realm, to rule as Regent until the heir come of age".

"May I see that letter, Ser Barristan?" Barristan passed it off to cersei, she scoffed reading it through. "Protector of the realm. Is this meant to be your shield, Lord Stark? A piece of paper?" Cersei shred Robert's letter to pieces

"Those were the King's words." Barristan objected, he didn't much like robert but Cersei was a different breed of monster.

" We have a new King now." Cersei reminded him. "Lord Eddard, when we last spoke you offered me some counsel. Allow me to return the courtesy. Bend the knee, My Lord. Bend the knee and swear loyalty to my son and we shall allow you to live out your days in the gray waste you call home. "

"Your son has no claim to the throne." Ned corrected.

"Liar!" Joffrey shouted.

"You condemn yourself with your own mouth, Lord Stark." Cersei tsked.  "Ser Barristan, seize this traitor." Barristan hesitated, he liked Stark, he was a good man, wanted to protect Davina. Do right by the realms.

"Ser Barristan is a good man, a loyal man. Do him no harm." Ned corrected of his men.

"You think he stands alone?" Cersei countered as Gregor and Sandor drew their swords.

"Kill him! Kill all of them, I command it!"

"Your sister knew perfectly well we were to leave today. How she could forget..."

"She didn't forget. She's with her dancing master. She's with him every morning. She always comes back with scrapes and bruises. She's so clumsy." Sansa corrected. Davina saw Davina down the hallway and rolled her eyes. She didnt understand the sisters. She wondered if she ever got to meet her own sister if they were anything alike.

" Hush! Go back to your room. Bar the doors and do not open them for anyone you do not know." Mordane instructed seeing guards approaching.

"What is it? What's happening?"

" Do as I told you. Run!"

"And now you are a dead girl."

" Only 'cause you lied." Arya shouted back.

" My tongue lied. My eyes shouted the truth. You were not seeing." Syrio corrected.

" I was so. I watched, but you..."

" Watching is not seeing, dead girl. The seeing, the true seeing, that is the heart of swordplay." Syrio corrected as the kingguard approached. Davina headed to her chambers, realizing it was too quiet. She stopped looking for her usual shadow. But Gregor wasnt here. Barristan either. She did a slow turn and listened closely, hearing guards footsteps and nervous whimpers. She picked up her pace and ran to her chambers. She would be trapped in her chambers but at least she could jump down if they came for her next too. SHe barred the door and listened.

"Arya Stark, come with us." Trant demanded. "Your father wants to see you."

" And why is it that Lord Eddard is sending Lannister men in place of his own? I am wondering." Syrio countered putting Arya behind him.

" Mind your place, dancing master. This is no concern of yours."

"My father wouldn't send you." Arya agreed as she picked up her wooden stick from the ground, "And I don't have to go with you if I don't want."

" Take her."

"Are you men or snakes, that you would threaten a child?" Syrio countered.

"Stay away from me." Sansa demanded as she tried to flee.  "I'll tell my father. I'll...I'll tell the Queen."

"Who do you think sent me?" Sandor countered.

"Davina..." Arya whispered Davina opened her door and Arya held her.

"It's not safe here arya." Davina warned. "They are coming for my head."

"Mine too I think."
