"Do I need to go and kiss Joffrey's feet?" Davina pondered.  Gregor stared back at her. "His father loves me." she added. "Tywin was the reason I was kept alive."

"I know." Gregor agreed.

"Joffrey doesnt listen. He is going to kill me."

"You dont know that." Gregor corrected.

"I do know that." Davina corrected. "Because he doesnt think rationally. He listens to idiots. They will all agree that since Robert wanted me and my siblings dead that if Joffrey wants the same I will be killed."

"I already told you-"

"You wont let that happen." Davina murmured.

"Aye." He agreed.

"I'm tired. Excuse me." Davina headed back to her chambers and barred the door, Arya gave her a nervous smile. "Brought you food."

"My father... they are going to kill him." Arya whispered.

"I hope not. I like your father, he is a good man."  Davina assured. "eat up. I will check on him."

"Lastly, in these times of treason and turmoil, it is the view of the Council that the life and safety of King Joffrey be of paramount importance."

"Ser Barristan Selmy." Cersei cut in. Barristan Selmy approached slowly, a heavy sigh in his chest but he looked at Cersei with honor.

"Your Grace, I am yours to command." He assured.

" Rise, Ser Barristan. You may remove your helm." Cersei instructed. "You have served the Realm long and faithfully. Every man and woman in the Seven Kingdoms owes you thanks. But it is time to put aside your armor and your sword. It is time to rest and look back with pride on your many years of service."

"Your Grace, the Kingsguard is a sworn brotherhood." Barristan reminded her. "Our vows are taken for life. Only death relieves us of our sacred trust."

"Whose death, Ser Barristan? Yours or your King's?" Cersei countered.

"You let my father die." Joffrey spat. "You're too old to protect anybody."

"Your Grace..." It wasn't his fault, they couldn't be blaming him for Roberts death?

"The Council has determined that Ser Jaime Lannister will take your place as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard." Cersei went on.

"The man who profaned his blade with the blood of the King he had sworn to defend!" Barristan declared, his anger radiated through him.

"Careful, Ser." Cersei grit back.

"We have nothing but gratitude for your long service, good Ser." Varys assured. "You shall be given a stout Keep beside the sea, with servants to look after your every need."

"A hall to die in and men to bury me." Barristan corrected. "I am a Knight. I shall die a Knight."

" A naked Knight, apparently." Petyr chuckled out.

"Even now I could cut through the five of you like carving a cake!" Barristan declared. "Here, boy! Melt it down and add it to the others." Barristan threw his sword down nodding to the throne and marched off to find Davina.

" If any man in this hall has other matters to set before His Grace, let him speak now or go forth and hold his silence."

"Your Grace." Sansa whimpered.

"Come forward, My Lady." Joffrey agreed and Sansa took hesitant steps forward.

"The Lady Sansa of House Stark." The kingslanding page declared.

" Do you have some business for the King and the Council, Sansa?" Cersei questioned.

"I do." Sansa knelt down. "As it please Your Grace, I ask mercy for my father, Lord Eddard Stark, who was Hand of the King."

" Treason is a noxious weed. It should be torn out, root..." Pycelle corrected.

"Let her speak. I want to hear what she says."

"Grab your go bag." Barristan instructed.

"What..." Davina realized she didnt care what happened, what had changed.   "Arya-" she peered out. "Lets go."

"Where?"

"Does it matter? Its not safe here." Davina countered.

"The queen thought you might try to steal the princess away." Gregor remarked blocking the door. Davina glanced up at Gregor and then to Barristan. "Told me what to do if you did..."

"He was just saying goodbye." Davina corrected tossing her bag aside. She hugged him tight. "Find my siblings if you can." She whispered. "If its not too late."

"What of you?"

"I have survived this long Barry... may we meet again old friend." Davina whimpered. "I will miss you Barry." Barristan kissed her forehead and leaving her was the hardest thing he had to do but he knew that davina wouldnt risk his life for her freedom. She would have been a good queen.

"The queen was looking for the little pup." Gregor remarked nodding to Arya.

"Arya isnt here Gregor." Davina begged. "Please." Gregor hesitated. "Please, I will owe you." She begged grabbing his hand. He hesitated staring down at where she touched him before nodding.

'the children, it's always the innocent to suffer... It wasn't the wine that killed Robert or the boar though the wine slowed him down and the boar ripped him open but it was your mercy that killed the king. I trust you... but you are a dead man lord Eddard stark.' Varys told him.

'The queen can't kill us,' Ned said confidently. 'we have her brother.' Ned reminded him.

'The wrong brother sadly.' Varys informed him. 'Besides, your wife has let the imp slip through her fingers.'

'If that is true then slit my throat and be done with it.' Ned declared.

'Not today my Lord.''

'Tell me some thing Varys who do you truly serve?' Ned questioned.

'The realm my Lord. Someone must.' Varys said walking away and leaving him in darkness. But small footsteps approached and Ned wondered if it was Arya but then he saw the silver hair.

"Hello Davina."

"Hi." She whispered.

"How are they girls?"

"arya is with me, safe for now. Sansa is in Cersei clutches." Davina answered. "How are you?" She slipped the wine and bread through the bars.

"Thank you for taking care of Arya... get her out if you can. Both of them."

"Barristan almost got me out... Gregor..."

"Gregor." Ned agreed.

"I wanted to take Arya with me but there is no getting out for me, Ned. What are you going to do?"

"I dont know. What do you think they will do my girls if I say I lied?"

"They will be traitors either way." Davina remarked. "I didnt do anything when my father decided to burn the world and yet I'm a monster myself."

"You are not." Ned corrected softly.

"I am." Davina assured. "According to the crown. No matter what you do, you said joffrey wasnt the heir. He will not be happy. He will seek vengeance on all of you."

"How do I protect them?"

"I dont know that you can."
