Ch 5

It's the day of mine and Joochan's date and I'm beyond freaking out. I've completely torn my closet apart trying to find some casual clothes but nothing really impresses me. Groaning I finally make a decision and head up to the kitchen area where Cato is looking through the cabinets with Jangjun cuddling him from behind. "Guys I'm sorry to interrupt but I need help. I have a date in thirty minutes but I can't find anything to wear." Cato gives me a sympathetic look and moves away from Jangjun assuring him he'll be right back before leading me back to my room. I watch as he looks around the room before walking around gathering some clothes before handing me an outfit consisting of a black t shirt and black leather pants I looking at him in appreciation. "Thanks." He gives me a smile before leaving and I quickly get dressed brushing my hair and teeth before checking my phone seeing that Joochan is on his way I immediately feeling a little nervous and panicked. I've never been on a date before and I have no idea what to expect or do. Swallowing I make my way to the front door wishing Cato and Jangjun goodbye before I head outside I seeing a van pull up just as I make it outside. The back door opens and Joochan steps out he giving me a smile I giving him a shy one back. He then motions to the van. "Let's get going." I nod and we get in Joochan closing the door then the driver pulls away I looking out the window curiously as we head to the park. Once the car stops we get out and Joochan grabs a camera putting it around his neck then waves the driver off he promising to call when we're ready to leave. He then turns to me and smiles before he gently intertwines our fingers together I blushing a little. His smile widens and he starts leading me into the park I looking around at all the pretty flowers and stuff. Spotting some roses I immediately let go of Joochan's hand and make my way over to them smiling I admiring the pretty red color. I suddenly hear a click and I turn my head curiously only to blush when I see Joochan just took a picture. "Please delete that." He smiles and shakes his head no. "Nope. You looked so cute and happy I'm keeping it." I blush even more looking a little shy and embarrassed. "I can't help it I love roses." His smile brightens looking happy. "I do too. They're my favorite." I smile and say cheerfully. "I have my own special garden of roses at my parent's house. They're rare because they're black." He looks a little curious. "Maybe I can come see them sometime." I instantly look a little shy. "Maybe." He smiles then says cheerfully. "Let's take some pictures. I want to have memories of this day." I blush but shyly agree and he tells me to go different places and do different poses I doing so smiling before pointing out with a pout. "All the pictures are of me I want to take one of you." He chuckles softly but carefully hands over the camera I being really gentle with it as I fiddle with it then look up at him with a smile only to see him watching me with a little smile on his face I blushing but quickly take the picture it snapping him out of his little daze. It's his turn to blush and I can't help but giggle a little. "Cute." He blushes even more and I grin before gently handing him his camera back. We then continue to walk around the park chatting and looking at the different flowers and plants. "So do you have any friends?" I pause a little before nodding. "I have one close friend. He's a demon named Tate. I was friends with him while he was human." He looks at me curiously. "How'd he become a demon then?" I pause before saying softly. "A lot of people who get sent to hell become demons because of the sins they commit. I don't think Tate's sentence was exactly fair though." Joochan gives me a curious look. "What'd he do?" I stay quiet gently playing with the flowers before I say softly. "He was suffering really bad schizophrenia and insomnia. His mental health was out of control and his mom didn't believe in therapy and he uh he shot up his high school. Which is extremely unforgivable and I don't condone that at all but he couldn't help it his mind was out of control. He's gotten therapy and is on medication now and he's a completely different person. He regrets everything he did and is actually my second in charge. I just feel a little bad because I felt like I could have helped or stopped it from happening." His expression softens slightly. "Did you know that he was going to do that?" I frown and shake my head no. "Of course not. I was out with my dad learning about deals and stuff. But I feel like if he was able to get ahold of me or talk to me those kids would still be alive." Joochan gives me a firm look. "It's not your fault that he did that. And I know if you did know that you'd do anything to stop it and help. Don't blame yourself for something that you couldn't stop." I stare at him feeling a little emotional and clear my throat changing the subject. "I should probably get home. I have work first thing tomorrow." He seems to look disappointed and I give him a reassuring smile. "I'll see you again as soon as I possibly can." He nods and I move closer to him taking his hand and intertwine our fingers together so we're holding hands. He seems to blush a little and I smile leading him out of the park he going to get his phone out when I speak up. "You know I could take you home. That is if you don't mind teleporting." He looks at me a little curiously before saying a little hesitantly. "Sure." I smile and lock our arms together before saying firmly. "Close your eyes." He blinks but does so and I immediately teleport to outside his dorm I quickly steadying him as he wobbles a little. "Okay you can open your eyes now." He does so and grimaces slightly. "That was a really weird feeling." I give him a sympathetic look. "Yeah it takes some getting used to." He nods and we look into each other's eyes lost in each other's gaze and he suddenly leans down kissing me softly I shyly kissing back happily. The kiss is soft and sweet we slowly pulling away and I blush a little smiling shyly. "I better go. But I had fun today. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy life for once." He smiles and pecks my lips. "Good. Text me when you get home okay?" I blush a little more and nod assuring him I will. He then lets me go I giving him a soft goodbye then teleport home to my room where I immediately change and text Joochan that I made it safely before I climb into bed and slowly fall asleep a smile on my face.
