Ch 6

Over the next few days I'm trying to focus on work but can't help but take breaks to text Joochan a little smile on my face. "Oliver!" I snap out of my thoughts and look at Tate who's giving me an amused look his eyebrow raised. "You're off in la la land when you're supposed to be going over your reports." I sigh and can't help but pout. "I'm tired of going over the damned and picking punishments. I've been working on it for three days straight." Tate blinks at me. "You usually don't mind working so long. What's gotten into you?" I blush a little and say shyly. "Well I have someone to actually spend time with now. I don't know how dad did it juggling a personal life and work all in one." Tate shrugs at me. "No idea. But how about you take a small break and I'll cover for you." I immediately give him an appreciative look before I get up and teleport to my parent's house where I immediately head to my special garden. I check over my red and black roses I carefully picking some then wrap a bow around the mixture of red and black roses and write a little message before attaching it to the bow then carefully set them aside for later a little smile on my face. "I thought I'd find you here when I saw you weren't in your office." I turn my head to see my dad I a little curious. "Oh hi dad. Did you need something?" He smiles and sits down on a bench motioning to the spot beside him I cautiously sitting beside him. "Your mother mentioned that you found someone special." I immediately blush feeling a little shy. "Maybe." He chuckles softly. "I see you've been a lot more relaxed and happy lately. This boy must be extremely special if you're actually taking breaks and having fun for once in your life." I shift a little before saying shyly. "Yeah he is pretty special. He doesn't see a demon when he sees me he actually sees a person. And he makes me smile." My dad hums before saying softly. "Your mother was the same way when we met. She could make me laugh and smile and made me realize that I could be more than the king of hell." I nod before asking curiously. "How did you handle the workload and a relationship with mom on top of it?" He hums before saying simply. "Well I had a lot of help. Especially from your uncle." My eyes widen slightly since my uncle hasn't been mentioned in years since he left heaven and fell for the woman he was guarding. "Uncle Leo?" He nods. "Yep. He helped me quite a bit just like Tate helps you." I blink a little at that. It's quiet between us before I say softly. "I cant help but think he's too good for me though. I mean his souls so pure and I'm a demon. I don't want to darken it by him being with me." My dad raises an eyebrow at me. "From what I've seen he's already destined for hell." I make a face at that. "Which isn't fair. So what he doesn't believe in religion? Most people don't. He's pure other than that." My dad shrugs. "It's not my choice who gets damned or not it's heavens." I scoff a little. "Heaven. Stuck up angels is all they are." My dad chuckles. "Olly don't be so hard on the angels. They have jobs to do just like us." I roll my eyes a little. "Well they bully me and I hate dealing with them." My dad gives me a sympathetic look. "I know but without their help it'd be chaos." I huff but silently agree and my dad pats my shoulder. "Why don't you invite your special someone over to dinner? Your mom is making a bunch of food since it's a special occasion of you being so happy." I blink then blush. "I don't know dad.... I think it's too soon for him to meet you guys." He smiles encouragingly at me. "You're serious about him right?" I blink and nod. "Yeah but he might not be." My dad just hums. "Well you never know until you try." I bite my lip before I sigh. "Alright. I'll go invite him." My dad nods giving me a little side hug before ruffling my hair. "Good luck but I have faith it'll go well." I blush but nod and get up grabbing the roses I set aside and teleport to Joochan's company landing outside the practice room door. Taking a breath I fix my hair and adjust my clothes making sure the roses are perfect before I knock on the door. I wait a second before hearing Daeyeol saying to come in I making my way into the room looking a little shy. "Hi." Everyone greets me and my eyes meet with Joochan's I shyly approaching him feeling a little nervous but I hand him the roses saying sheepishly. "These are for you. I picked them from my garden." His eyes widen a little and a blush tints his cheeks as he takes them. "They're beautiful." I smile then shift a little saying sheepishly. "Um my parents want to invite you to dinner tonight if you're not busy. If you aren't comfortable meeting them yet though that's fine." He blinks before giving me a reassuring smile. "I'd love to come to dinner. What time?" I feel a little relieved saying softly. "I'll pick you up around five at your dorm. Don't worry about dressing up just be casual. And we'll have to teleport." He nods and I shift a little before I kiss his cheek saying quickly. "See you later." I then quickly teleport away.
