Ch 8

(Oliver's Pov)

A week passes and I become completely absorbed in work that I hardly notice that Joochan hasn't texted or anything in days. Apparently there's a big issue up in heaven that's got everything wrong and upside down because the whole file system glitched. Sighing I bounce a pen in between my fingers as I wait impatiently for the angel I'm gonna be working with to go over human's files and judge them. After quite a while of waiting a glow of blue lights appear they slowly fading to reveal a young male figure with dark brown hair and blue green eyes who's wearing pure white robes. I immediately scrunch my nose up at the brightness and purity of the clothes giving the angel a slight look. "You're late." He gives me a slight look. "Watch it demon. I was busy with one of my charges." My eyes narrow slightly at the older but I let it slide. "Well I'm Oliver Turner. And I guess we'll be working together." He hums before saying simply. "I'm Chris Hall. I suggest we get started." I roll my eyes but pull out a large filing cabinet filled with records I grabbing every file and set them on the desk. "Take a seat and start reading." He gives me a look before he takes a seat and grabs a file I grabbing one as well. We go over files for quite a while until I push my chair back a little then get up stretching. "We should take a break. I need to go somewhere right quick." Chris raises an eyebrow at me. "I'll come too so I can make sure you come back in time." I roll my eyes in annoyance before I teleport to Joochan's company Chris following behind me. Once I arrive at the practice room door I gently knock since there isn't any music and I hear Daeyeol say to come in I leading Chris into the room. "Hey everyone." I see everyone giving me curious looks as they stare at Chris curiously. "Oh just ignore him. They assigned me an angel to help with filing work." Chris gives me a slight look before turning to everyone else. "I'm Chris it's nice to meet you all." His gaze then goes to the back of the room looking curious. "A witch, two familiars and a werewolf. Interesting group." I roll my eyes then turn around to see Joochan a bright smile crossing my face as I skip over to him only to frown when he doesn't smile at me like usual. "Everything alright?" He gives me a slight look. "Everything's fine." I slowly nod then I lean up to kiss his cheek only for him to immediately move away I frowning slightly. "Joochan what's the matter?" He gives me a slight look before saying firmly. "I don't think you should come around anymore. It's not working out." I gape at him in complete shock I about to question him when the door opens to reveal a really pretty girl but I see her aura and it's pure black. She skips over to Joochan and snuggles up to his side smiling. "Hi jagi." She then looks at me and raises an eyebrow. "Who's this?" I frown when Joochan says simply. "No one." My heart immediately breaks and I clear my throat before looking at Chris. "We should head back." He nods and we disappear back to my office in hell where I immediately feel tears forming. Chris suddenly speaks up cautiously. "That girl is up to something." I wipe away my tears and I instantly scroll through my phone pressing on Tate's contact I demanding for him to get me the woman's file as soon as possible because it's an emergency. I then hang up and start pacing around anxiously it taking about an hour but Tate appears with file in hand I quickly grabbing it and then read over every single detail frowning. "It says here she practices dark magic and apparently sold her soul recently." I look up at Tate seriously a dark look on my face. "Find the demon who made her that deal now." Tate seems to flinch back and quickly disappears I growling in anger and frustration as I punch the wall. It's quiet for a while until Chris speaks up. "This guy is your other half right?" I turn to him and nod. "Yeah he is." The angel actually gives me a sympathetic look. "My parents were each other's perfect match. My dad gave up everything to be with my mom. I would hate to lose someone so important to me." I go to say something when suddenly Tate appears holding the arm of a short older demon with grey hair and a chubby face he looking cocky. "You wanted to see me your highness?" My eyes narrow slightly. "Yeah you made a deal with a woman a few days back and I want to know what it was." He shrugs and says simply. "She wanted the perfect romance and life with a particular gentleman." I growl darkly my eyes flashing yellow. "That gentleman is off limits when it comes to deals. He's mine." The man raises an eyebrow at me. "No one or nothing is off limits when it comes to deals. She signed the contract fair and square I'm not going to break it." My hands ball up into fists as I say in a dark deadly tone. "I'll break you if you don't release my love of the contract." He gives me a look of amusement. "See this is why we need an actual demon to be king. You being part witch you have too many human emotions and get too involved. A deals a deal and she'll have her deal until her ten years are up." I snarl at him stepping forward. "How about I kill you and the contract breaks then huh?" He just chuckles. "And what would your precious love think of you killing someone?" I pause before I just break completely. "Please. Break the deal. I'll do anything." He pauses at that before looking me straight in the eye. "Anything?" I nod eagerly and he hums. "Then give up your throne to me and I become king of hell." I pause at that my mind going back and forth but I immediately make a decision I saying in a firm tone. "Deal." He smirks and I give him a stern look. "Break the deal first." He rolls his eyes before snapping his fingers he saying simply. "There the contract is broken. But that doesn't mean anything." My eyes narrow. "What does that mean?" He shrugs. "She's a very powerful witch. She could be slowly poisoning your love's soul to where only she has full control." I immediately feel panic I quickly teleporting away to where I sense Joochan's presence and aura is. I knock frantically on the door I waiting a minute before it opens revealing that woman in a robe my eyes narrowing as I force my way inside she quickly becoming angry. "Hey! You have no right being here! Leave or I'm calling the cops." I stop in my tracks and turn to her my eyes glowing bright yellow in anger. "Go ahead but I know that they won't be able to touch me. Now you're getting on my last nerve. You're going to tell me where my love is at and then you're going to release him from your magic. And so help me if you don't I won't hesitate to send a pack of hellhounds after you." She stares at me wide eyed. "Y.... You can't do that!" I growl at her in a pissed off manner. "I can and I will. I'd do anything for that man now where is he?" She shakily points to a bedroom I quickly storming inside only to see an out of it barely dressed Joochan I quickly making my way over to him and help support him. I then teleport us out of here and to his dorm where everyone jumps startled I quickly moving Joochan to the couch. "Talon I need your help! A witch made a deal to have him be in love with her and I got the contract cancelled but she still got ahold of his soul." Talon immediately looks concerned he rushing over and starts checking him over with magic. "It seems like she manipulated his emotions and feelings pretty well." I immediately feel worried and scared. "Isn't there something we can do?" Talon looks thoughtful before he smiles. "Sometimes true love's kiss can help anything. It wouldn't hurt for you to give it a shot." I bite my lip before I move to the couch Talon moving to give us space. I take my seat beside him then I take a breath letting it out before I press my lips against Joochan's I feeling warm tingly fireworks. I kiss him softly for a moment when he suddenly starts to kiss back it deepening a little. After a moment we pull away I immediately looking concerned. "Are you okay? How do you feel?" He immediately gives a reassuring look. "I feel okay. Still a little dazed. What happened?" My expression darkens. "A witch made a deal to have you fall for her and she also used her magic to manipulate your emotions." He frowns slightly. "How'd you get me away?" I admit a little softly. "I gave up the throne to get your contract broken because the demon refused to break it unless I made a deal." He stares at me wide eyed. "Oliver you didn't have to do that." I shake my head. "I wanted to do it. I'd have done anything to get you back to me." His expression softens a little as he says softly. "Thank you jagi." I blush and say shyly. "You're welcome." I then rub my eyes tiredly I mumbling a little softly. "Do you mind coming home with me? I don't want to be without you for now." His expression softens and he says reassuringly. "Of course just let me change." I nod and he gets up leaving the room before I turn my attention to the others who are staring at me. "What?" Talon gives me a shocked look. "Did you seriously give up your throne to get Joochan back?" I nod saying softly. "I couldn't let him be stuck with that woman for ten years. I needed him back with me." Their expressions all soften and I turn my attention to Joochan when he comes back into the room holding a bag. I get up and move over to his side linking our arms together then turn to the others. "We'll discuss this more later." I then teleport to my room at home and slowly let Joochan go I sighing a little as I start undoing the tie to my suit and the jacket. "I'm going to go change into comfortable clothes." He nods and I grab some pajamas before going to the bathroom and change before I head back to my room feeling exhausted. We both climb into bed together and I snuggle close clinging to him a little he gently cuddling me as I slowly doze off.
