It was a summer morning in June and a year had passed since that unforgettable night. The rain had been pouring for four days.
This day it was sunny outside with the still wet grass and the refreshing air was for anyone who stepped outside.
Lucinda has been reading books on these rainy days, as her brother has been playing piano for her, a more lovely and relaxing evening was hard to find.Lucinda running outside in her light natural white dress, all barefoot, and smiles brighter than the sun as she felt the wet grass under her feet, and when she was playing around so could Derius see her silver white long wavy hair shine beautifully in the sun and her eyes were in her green-grey and her light rosy cheeks that gave color to her ivory pale skin.
Her brother on the other side was in his favorite place by the paddock, Derius was now in the age of twenty-one his hair was longer his boyish face had become a bit more mature and his body had grown stronger and well-built after all hard work on the fields with the farmers, which anyone clearly could see in the way he was dressed this morning, black tree-parts pants, white messy half-open shirt with an open royal blue vest on top of it and black riding boots. He was drinking his tea and was reading all the letters that had been delivered in the past four days.
His poor owl was exhausted when she came back with the last one, so he let her rest for the weekend."Lucy dear sister, please go in and get something more fitting for being outside!"
His tone was gentle and demanding, but she could also hear a small laughter hiding behind his words and with that smile on his lips so couldn't even deny that he still liked her rebellious side.
"Hahaha, Okay brother, but only because you asked so kindly!"She then turned and ran into the mansion, up the stairs in the entrée hall to the second floor and the east wing.
When she entered her room did she meet Minix, her brother's house elf, the same house-elf from the night the boys saved her.
A week after that night, Derius met their father back in the Family mansion to talk with his father about letting him have Lucinda in his care for the time being, his father had agreed to it only if Minix could now come with and be his son's house-elf instead, in change that she will keep an eye on Lucinda for their father."Oh my lady, I'm sorry I..."
"No, please, Minix, do whatever you need to do, I will just dress a bit ''more'' fitting for being outside."
Her tone was soft and gentle as a bit bitter for being in need to dress up in her own home, she for sure didn't hide her dislike for her brother's wishes.
Minix was grateful for being the young Mr. Khain's house-elf, since the passed Mrs Khain and her brother Rufus Khain had left this world, so did Minix suffer years of abuse in hands by Mr.Khain and the now Dahlia Khain, and she was still a bit shaky and unsure of how to act around them even after she had seen them grow up and they for sure has always treated her kindly, so was the fear of losing all this peace too heavy sometimes."My lady, would you like Minix's help?" she did sound a bit scared, she did love to help but also didn't wanna be in the way.
Lucinda turned around and looked at her.
She noticed how she felt about asking, so she smiled at her brother's poor house elf.
"Yes, yes please."Minix looked up at Lucinda with a bright smile as she began to use her magic to take out a beautiful light blue dress from the wardrobe, some white flowers from the garden outside the window, and a small silver necklace from the box her brother got her.
"I think this dress will be beautiful on my lady, and at the age of eleven you do like to be free and able to play and run around, with this light tulle on its skirt, so will my Lady have no problems to feel free"
Lucinda walked up to the well-done and thoughtful piece of clothing Minix had put together. She right away wanted to put it on, she even began to think about asking her brother to let Minix get her more of these dresses.
"Well done, I love it! The day I find my own home after Hogwarts I will for sure make my brother let me take you with me"
"Minix didn't become a bit too much?"
she had now taken two steps back and looked worried. But Lucinda shook her head and smiled warmly at her.
"Of course not, You don't need to fear being yourself here. We will never hurt you."
Minix had no idea what to say.
All she did was hold her hands in front of her, and swing a bit shyly as she genuinely smiled, happy for her lady's kind words.
Lucinda began right away to undress herself, and Minix made her dirty dress float away to the laundry basket in the cleaning room down the basement.
"My lady, if you wish, can Minix fix a warm bath"
Lucinda blinked, surprised before she looked down at her dirty feet, and messy hair. She also noticed her hands were green after she had picked some flowers to place on her brother's table by the paddock. She laughed a bit at herself as she nodded.
"Lucky me that you asked because it seems I have become one with the nature. "
