It's August the thirty-first early morning and Derius was running late, shouting, and packing his suitcase in his room, which was the room in front of his sisters on the east wing.
All this shouting and stress is because he overslept from getting home late after a night with Gabrielle and Luke.
They had been working on a case for the Ministry and finally got done with it after two weeks of dead ends and because of this had all of them forgotten to get Lucinda her train ticket for the Hogwarts Express."Lucinda Marie Khain hurry up!" By how loud her brother now was, did Lucinda think it was heard all the way down to Collis which was around four kilometers away from here.
"Breath brother, I'm already downstairs! " she said loud enough so her brother would hear her as she saw all three gentlemen walk into the Entrée hall from each corridor.
Derius stopped in the middle of the stairs with his suitcase in his hand and turned around to see if his friends were on their way down too.
"What are you looking at Khain, move those legs of yours!" Gabrielle turned Derius back on his way down the stairs before he passed by him and with fast feet was down and out of the door already.
Luke on the other side placed a gentle hand on Derius's shoulder and gave him a light smile, which Derius returned and met his eyes before both of them were back on the hurried part again.
With all these stressful days, Derius forgot to see his sister and have some alone time with her just like they always did before he went on his trip, and today he noticed how much she had grown the past year and how happier she looked since the day he got her away from their father, and was now ready to go.
This also made him nervous because he now knew that after this trip to Hogwarts so will it be hard to see her this often.
He had the night before talked with Luke about his feelings about letting Lucinda go to Hogwarts, he was worried that he would not meet her again before she took the exam and that maybe she found a boy she liked and what if she would get hurt or if their father get her if she doesn't go.
He was deep in his overprotective brother process and of course even now when he looked at his sister like a dum nut.But he came back when his sister waved at him.
"Brother, are you okay?"
He blinked and smiled at his sister.
"Yes, yes I'm sorry, I guess I haven't woken up yet."
When he got back to his mind, he noticed to his surprise that Lucinda turned to Minix and gave her a gift."Minix I will miss you and I'm not your master so I have the pleasure to give you this."
Minix's tears were already dipping down her cheeks as she looked at her lady, but when she saw the gift, she turned her attention to her master asking for permission, which Derius did understand the reason for but at the same time not really, because he would never say no to a simple kindness to Minix, so he just nods with a gentle smile as he assures her by telling.
"If there is cloth in there, so take it as you are free Minix, you're of course welcome to stay and live here, but I don't wanna hold you back if you wish to leave."
Minix's tears just kept falling down her cheeks as she opened the gift and saw a forest green dress with a brown apron just in her size. She looked up at Lucinda with tears falling as she asked her lady.
"May Minix hug her lady?"
Lucinda held out her arms as she gave a small nod as she saw Minix already on her way to hug her.
"Minix will not leave her wizard family, but Minix wanna visit home"
"Of course, as my brother said, you are welcome to stay, but you don't need to stay all the time if you do not wish so." Her tone was warm and cheerful with a touch of small giggle.
