Lucinda's nights have been hunted by nightmares, insomnia, and pain that feels like electricity through her veins.
It was some nights when Luke and Derius woke up by her screams and rushed in to give her a potion so she could calm down, before they turned back to bed.
The only thing that really calmed her was when she was in the stables with Obsidian and Charmist, who was always there Lucinda was.
When they went out for a ride and she took with her a violin, so was it, of course she was going to stop by Minix's grave.
She remembered Minix loved hearing her and Derius play ever since they were children, so she wanted to play for her as thanks for protecting them.
As her melodies left her violin did Obsidian rest beside her and Charmist went out for a hunt.
Now so has it past a week since Mr. Sharp was here and the summer was closer then ever, the agony that she had missed so much of the school made her worried if she even would be allowed to come back, after all she had been gone since December and now It was May and Lucinda woke up around lunch, so of course her motivation of study wasn't there.
She was on her way to the Library when she heard two familiar voices from the study as she saw Jessica come out from there with a teapot.
"Oh! Lucy!~, please don't scare me like that."
Jessica had jumped one step back when she hadn't heard her come around the corner from the entrée hall.
"I'm sorry. I guess my nature being loud isn't as it was before."
"Don't worry, I'm sure that you will be your old self soon enough."
"Thank you Jessica it warms my heart to hear."
Jessica nods with a smile to her sister-in-law before she begins to make her way to the kitchen still holding the teapot in her hands.
When Lucinda walked into the study, so did she get an attack by Charmist with cuddles and small love-pecks.
"Hehe Good afternoon Charmist" she right away begin to cuddle with her little clingy feather ball as she meets the kind eyes from Gabrielle who was sitting by the fireplace, before she looked around her and saw Derius sitting on his office chair with Luke by his side, and the other two chairs in front of the desk was used by Mr Sharp and Headmistress Mole.
"Ah, Lucy, perfect timing"
Derius opened his arms as he stayed in his chair and waited for his sister to come over and give him a hug, which she of course did as all of the others looked over at the siblings with smiles and all relaxed.
Under the past week, so has all of them been like hawks over Lucinda, they wanted her to gain weight, start to relax again and leave her wand in rest instead of all the time has it in her hand, which this past week finally gave this approval and made everyone finally slowdown and being able to rest up. It's just the nights who had them still on high alert.
It has also come to that Jessica sometimes shared bedroom with Lucinda so she would feel safe and sleep in ease.
"Miss Khain, I'm pleased to see you are well my dear, I hope you feel ready to leave for Hogwarts again."
Professor Mole's motherly warm tone once again after so long welcomed Lucinda back to study in Hogwarts, which she was so happy for and couldn't say no to.
"Yes, I can't wait to be back...If I'm allowed to..."
"...Lovely dear, that means I will have some peace from Mr. Gaunt and the Sallow siblings and you will have Mr. Sharp as a new professor too in the Potions class ."
Luke's eyes turned to Mr. Sharp before he just had to comment.
"Potion class!? I hope Mr. Sharp will go easy on those poor students."
