"Gabrielle, hurry up!"
Lucinda's voice was heard throughout the manor corridors as she was making Gabrielle go faster by pulling him after her. She hadn't been sleeping even a wink that night because it was her birthday and it was time for the festival.
Minix had helped Lucinda dress up a little bit more fitting for being in the village, she had a white simple dress under a brown waistcoat that reached as far as her dress did, and around her waist she had a black belt that was decorated with their mother's family crest in silver.
Gabrielle had himself also dressed more simply for the festival, his blue eyes and black hair that was down to his neck with a bang he had pulled to the side in a bit messy way makes it frame his strong jaw and charming smile, he was wearing a white shirt with the arms rolled up, green vest with golden buttons and edges, brown trousers, and black boots with a bit of brown.
It was no wonder that the ladies had their eyes on the soon-to-be-married famous writer Gabrielle Merckius and his well-built physique."Hey! Little Princess, if you keep pulling and lose grip, will you fall!" The laugh peeked between his words, and even if he was ready with his wand, so was Lucinda's brother faster when he saw his sister lose her footing from the stairs.
He cast the Levioso charm with a calm and demanding voice and made his sister in the next second float in the air before she was put down safely to the floor again, Gabrielle had already noticed that Derius had the situation under control so he did put his wand back.
"Lucy! How many times...."
"I know, I know, I'm sorry Brother!"
He snorted with a small laughter as saw her glance up at him with a sad puppy look.
"Okay, I need to hurry back to the Festival now, so listen to Gabrielle."
Derius's eyes met his friend's, and by that did Gabrielle nod back with a kind smile to assure him that he would keep an eye on her, but what he didn't show was that he felt a little ashamed that he was so slow to compare to Derius.Lucinda waves her brother off before he disappears with the wind and by that, she turns to Gabrielle with the same puppy look.
"Hey, don't try that on me Princess" He laughed at her softly with the words as he placed a hand on her head to mess up her hair.
Which made her laugh with him before she stepped to the side and began to run to the main door.
"Okay then, I will behave!"
Gabrielle used his long legs and followed her to the stables and they began to saddle the horses for the ride to the festival, They would meet both Luke and Derius as soon as possible, and they would arrive right in time when none of them would be busy with the last preparations for this year's festival, which made Lucinda pleased because it meant they will have time to enjoy the evening with her and Gabrielle too.
The weather was perfect, the sun was warm, and at the same time the shadows cooled them down under the ride, this made a perfect temperature, and without the wind so would it be safe to light up the bonfire under the night.
Lucinda looked out over the open fields that reached far and wide of London's lands, but Gabrielle was only surprised that both Obsidian and his horse Farin not even once had been on each other's nerves, as they did in the stables a moment ago.
"I guess they must have been bored in the stables."
Gabrielle opened up the conversation with a surprised but also pleased tone and his eyes moved back and forth between the two calm and relaxed stallions."Yes, Obsidian is used to morning and lunch rides."
she answered him as she patted her beautiful stallion on the neck to reward him."I'm sorry Obsidian, that I have kept her busy the past hours but I needed to attend to her scars as Dr Rosier's ordered"
