Entering work, I greeted Cat at the front desk. "Hey, Cat, what's up?" I asked. She mentioned a new coffee shop called Cup of Comfort. "I'll check it out at lunch," I replied before heading off to film with Matt and Sam. After filming, we went to REKT, and when lunchtime arrived, I waited for Cat to join us. Together with Sam and Matt, we drove to the cafe, parked, and entered. Cat ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream, Sam got a strawberry hot chocolate which I didn't even know it exists, and Matt ordered a regular coffee. As I looked at the menu, I ordered a hazelnut vanilla latte, momentarily distracted by a pretty girl who walked out from the back. After paying, we sat down, waiting for our drinks. Lost in thought about the girl, Sam snapped her fingers to bring me back. When the girl brought our drinks, we all thanked her, and I couldn't help but smile.

Emerging from the back to retrieve the receipt for the orders, I glanced up and noticed a guy with tan skin, fluffy brown hair, and brown eyes. He was undeniably cute, but I reminded myself not to judge solely on looks, and I won't date a guy because of what happened with Alex unless I know that they won't hurt me. Focusing on making the drinks, I approached the table where the group was seated and handed out their drinks. When the guy smiled at me, I returned the gesture, sensing something different about him, although I couldn't quite pinpoint The encounter at work earlier had left me flustered. As my friend Emily and I headed to the beach after our shift, I found myself lost in thought, absentmindedly texting on my phone while walking. Inadvertently, I collided with someone. "I'm so sorry," I muttered reflexively. "It's okay," came the response. Looking up, I realized it was the guy from my workplace. He had stopped to tie his shoe, and I had clumsily bumped into him. Feeling embarrassed, I didn't say anything and continued on to the car with Emily, who noticed my distracted demeanor. "What's up with you today?" she inquired, noting my unusual behavior. "Nothing, I'm just myself," I replied dismissively, though her observation nagged at me. As we reached the beach, we indulged in paddle-boarding for a couple of hours before the chill of the evening prompted us to pack up and head home. Once back, I retreated to the bathroom, craving the solace of a bubble bath with soothing bath salts. Emily and I decided to skip dinner, opting instead to watch a movie. However, as the film played, my mind wandered back to the encounter with the guy from work. Why was I fixating on him? I chided myself, reminding myself of my recent escape from an abusive relationship. Suddenly, Emily's voice interrupted my thoughts, pulling me back to reality. "Okay, spill it. What's going on?" she prompted, sensing my distraction. Startled, I stumbled over my words before finally admitting, "I'm just thinking." But her knowing gaze told me she suspected it was more than that. "You've been obsessing over that guy," she pointed out gently, Exasperated, I sighed, realizing she was right. My mind was consumed by thoughts of him, despite my efforts to push them aside. It was a revelation I wasn't quite ready to confront. "I wasn't obsessing over the guy," I protested defensively, but Emily countered with a knowing look. "Yes, you are. Do you even know his name?" she pressed, her tone gentle yet insistent. I rolled my eyes in frustration. "No, I don't know his name, and besides, I'm not ready for a relationship, especially after Alex. What if he's like him? It was hard leaving my ex," I confessed, my voice tinged with uncertainty, Emily shook her head sympathetically. "I don't think he's like Alex," she reassured me, but I couldn't shake off my apprehensions. "You don't know that," I argued weakly, feeling the weight of my past experiences looming over me. Silent for a moment, Emily reached for her phone, tapping away at the screen. I watched her curiously, wondering what she was up to. "What are you doing?" I asked, puzzled by her sudden activity. "I'm looking up his Instagram," she replied casually, her fingers flying across the keyboard. I frowned in confusion. "Why are you doing that? Do you even know his last name?" I asked skeptically. She paused briefly, then admitted, "No, but I know what he looks like." As she scrolled through the search results, I felt a mix of curiosity and anxiety bubbling inside me. "I found him," Emily announced triumphantly, but her statement left me feeling uneasy. "You're now acting like a stalker," I chided her, my tone a mix of amusement and concern. Shaking her head, Emily muttered, "He's famous." Her revelation caught me off guard. "What?" I exclaimed, surprised by this unexpected twist. Look, she showed me her phone of his Instragram "He's a YouTuber who also makes music, good for him. "Emily smiled and commented on how awesome it was. We scrolled through his Instagram for a while before I went to bed and quickly fell asleep."
"After waking up, I took a shower and dressed in a black shirt, red crop sweater, black skirt, leggings, and brown boots."

I had french toast for breakfast and let Emily sleep in since she didn't have work. While walking down the street, I spotted the guy from Instagram I think his name is Woodland. "Hey, Woodland, right?" I asked. He looked at me and replied, "Yeah." "I'm sorry, I'm here early. I wanted to get drinks for my studio.' "it's no problem," I said. "Just let me get set up, and you can tell me your order." We walked in, and I arranged the chairs before putting on my apron and taking Woodlands order. "You look really nice today," he said, causing my cheeks to blush slightly. "Uh, thank you," I replied as he smiled and headed towards the door. Just as he was about to leave, he called out, "Hey Y/n." I looked up from cleaning the counter. "Yeah, what's up?" He explained, "Matt is having a BBQ at his house and he asked me to see if you and your friend would like to come." After a quick thought, I replied, "Yeah, sure, we would love to." He walked over, placed a piece of paper on the counter, and said, "That's my number. Text me, and I'll send you the details. I smiled and picked up the paper as he exited, leaving me to continue working.
