Feyd Rautha looks around from sitting beside his uncle the Duke and brother Glossu Rabban as the doors open and Lady Mercy walks in with her arm through his son's as they talk together in the language of Kalaris Solaris.
It annoyed him how they always spoke in the closed language that no one else could understand. He also thought that Lady Mercy was making his son soft, un-Harkonnen. Weak. He had been trying to make his son into a warrior with little emotions.
But he had to admit his son was only like this with his mother. Lady Mercy had an ability to make everyone open up and be vulnerable with her. That was why he avoided her like he did, for when he was with her he often found himself speaking of things he never wished to speak of with anyone.
"Good day, Lord Husband" Lady Mercy bowed her head to Feyd Rautha with a bend of her knees before sitting in the seat beside him as Andrei nodded his greeting as he sat down beside his mother as she nodded to Glossu Rabben who looked her over without any form of greeting as he continued to eat.
"Wife." Was Feyd Rautha's only reply as he continued to eat as a platter was put down in front of Lady Mercy and Andrei that they start to eat from.
"Where is my Great-Uncle the Duke?" Andrei asks the room in general unsure who to address as everyone glances over to him. He sees his father put a hand onto his mother's as she looks at him their eyes meeting before Lady Mercy turns to look at her husband as she covers his hand with her other.
"He is on Arrakis. There has been some... indiscretions" Glossu Rabben says after a tense silence of Feyd Rautha and Lady Mercy having a silent battle with their eyes alone as they grip each other's hands so tightly they turn white on Lady Mercy's lap.
Lady Mercy looks away from Feyd Rautha as she tries to get her hands away from him, and when she does he grips her leg tightly as she winces. Andrei looks between them before turning to his breakfast with a nod from Lady Mercy.
"Good Name Day, Andrei" his uncle Glossu Rabben tells him. Andrei looks up and nods his thanks as Feyd Rautha glances between them.
"Yes, Good Name Day" Andrei looks at his father who nods to him as Andrei nods back as he continues to break his fast.
