"I am so sorry" comes a voice from her dreams as a knife flashes in the moonlight as it finds a home.
Lady Mercy gasps in alarm as she sits up straight in her bed as she wakes from the dream that felt so real as she runs a hand over her stomach trying to find the knife. With a shake of her head she leans over and pours herself a glass of water that she drinks greedily trying to sooth her dry throat.
"Lady Manning" Lady Mercy calls as she glides through the halls watching as the Lady in question turns bowing her head to the Na-Baron's wife and mother of his heir.
"My Lady Mercy" Lady Manning says as she looks Lady Mercy over as she walks up to her stopping in front of her as both Ladies cross their arms over their stomachs. "How may I assist you on this morn?"
"My Lord Husband, the Na-Baron Freyd Rautha," Lady Mercy starts before pausing as she sighs with a gentle shake of her head.
"My Lady Mercy?" Lady Manning probes as she looks at the Lady Mercy who has bowed her head slightly.
Lady Mercy looks back up at Lady Manning who stands straight again as they size each other up. They look around at the sound of footsteps and watch as a guard walks past them as he bows his head to Lady Mercy who nods as she watches him walk past before looking back at Lady Manning who is watching her.
"How may I assist you?"
"My Lord and Husband Freyd Rautha, he tells you things does he not?"
"My Lady-"
"You need not hid anything from me. He has given me a son and he is all I need in this life. My Lord Freyd Rautha tells you things"
"He does, I am his personal servant, it is my duty to be a sound board." Lady Manning defends herself to her Lord's wife who nods as she looks around before stepping forwards as she looks into her eyes.
"If he ever plans anything against me or my son would you tell me?"
The question catches Lady Manning off guard as she looks at the Na-Baron's wife who looks back at her with wide scared eyes.
"What would he do to you or his son, my Lady Mercy?"
"I am unsure but would you tell me if something was going to happen?"
"Of course, Lady Mercy." The said Lady nods at the other woman's words as she turns slightly as she squares her shoulders. "The Sisters of the Bene Gesserit should be arriving soon, the Lady Margot is waiting in the box. I however believe the Baron wishes for you to sit with him for your Lord Husband's Name Day feasts."
"Of course." Lady Mercy bows her head to Lady Manning who does the same with a bend in her knees as she watches the white haired woman walk away.
