"It's getting late now, so I'm going to wash up before I head to bed." Jayeon said as she slipped off her kitchen stool. "You should probably head to sleep too, alright."
"Mhm, I will soon." Jay told her.
"I'll see you later, yeah." She smiled softly as she hugged him, placing her head on his shoulder.
a gentle kiss on his cheek.
"Goodnight, Jayeon." Jay whispered into her ear as he hugged her tighter, not wanting to let go, but aventually he did but not before planting a small kiss on her forehead.
"Goodnight, Jay." She wished him smiling sweetly before she disappeared up the staircase.

Jayeon managed to find some cleaning supplies and doused all the surfaces in antiseptic. The all white bathroom sure looked clean, but she didn't know who lived here before they came, so it was better to be safer than sorry.
After finishing cleaning, she chucked her rubbee gloves in the small bin in the corner situated between the sink and the toilet. Due to Jayeon being forgetful, she forgot to bring pyjamas, so after her shower, she put on her P.E. uniform. It was a simple black tee with red shorts with a stripe down the sides. She wrapped a towel around her head and brushed her teeth, and once she was done, she put all her stuff back into her duffel bag.
She carried her stuff to the sleeping quarters where Jake and Hayeon slept soundly. As she was about to climb into her own bed, she realised someone was missing. Jay wasn't in the room. She figured he was on the balcony as, on her way to the room, she saw the hatch and the ladder up to go to the balcony.
Jayeon exited the room and quietly closed the door before making her way up the ladder. "I thought you were going to sleep?" Jay said as he noticed Jayeon walk onto the balcony, taking a seat next to him.
"I was, but I needed to let my hair air dry first." She responded as she slid the towel off her head, letting her hair flop onto her shoulders, hanging the towel around her neck.
Jay shifted in his seat, laying down and resting his head on Jayeon's lap, looking up at the night sky. "The night sky is really pretty from up here. All the stars shine brightly, but do you know which one shines the brightest?" He questioned.
"Go on, tell me." Jayeon encouraged him with an amused smile as she played with his hair, running her fingers his black locks.
"You." Jay grinned widely as he winked at her.
"Stop with the cheesy lines." Jayeon chuckled with a large smile on her face.
"Oh, come on, I know you like them." Jay beamed as he poked her cheek.
"Just be quiet." Jayeon smiled as she put her finger to his lips.
"Your wish is my command." Jay winked at her again before he shut his mouth and looked up at the stars smiling to himself.
Eventually, Jayeon brought her head up to look at the sky. She had to say the sky was one of the prettiest she's seen in a long time. When she was back at home, she would often spend her weekend nights on the rooftop of her apartment looking at the stars. Each star had their own individual shine, but they were all equal. One wasn't brighter than the others, but even so, it was a wonderful sight to see.
Time passed by, and Jayeon glanced down at Jay. His eyes were closed, and breathing was even and slow. Judging by that, she guessed he was sleeping. Her lips curled into a faint smile as she peered down at the boy still playing with his hair.
Jayeon looked out at the ocean, which glowed enchantedly under the moonlight. She sat there in the peaceful nighttime bliss, the wind blue gently, and the sound of the waves were relaxing. Everything was perfect till Jayeon noticed something peculiar out on the beach. She noticed two familiar figures, one too familiar to her. Hayeon.
"Let go of me, you bitch!" Jiae screamed at the top of her lungs as she was dragged by her long hair. She was thrashing around scratching Hayeons arms with her long nails attempting ro break free.
"Shut the fuck up, will you!" Hayeon cursed as she kept dragging the girl closer to the water. "Stop making things so difficult!"
Jayeon covered Jay's ears so he wouldn't be woken up due to all the noise and commotion happening on the beach.
"Just fuck off and let me go!" Jiae shouted.
"Well, you've got a potty mouth." Hayeon chuckled as she kept dragging her.
"You're acting like you never told me to shut the fuck up!" Jiae loudly said. At that point, both girls had entered the water, Hayeon was about waist legnth deep, and Jiae, her head was just above over the water.
Hayeon stomped on Jiae abdomen harshly with the heel on her foot, and the girl let out a cry in pain and stopped moving about for a moment. Hayeon used these couple of seconds to flip Jiae onto her front. Hayeon completely submerged Jiae and kept her knee and hands on her back, drowning her. Jiae thrashed about kicked her legs and tried to grab onto things as she struggled for oxygen.
The splashing and kicking in the water halted. Hayeon stood up. Jiae's lifeless body floated to the top and bobbed up and down gently in the water.
Hayeon left Jiae's body to drift in the water as she made her way out, squeezing her clothing, getting rid of the excess water as she walked along the beach. Hayeon didn't walk back to the lighthouse as she expected her to. She went into the forest.
Jayeon glanced down at the boy on her lap. She took the towel, hung around her neck, and folded it into four. She slowly and carefully removed his head from her lap and placed the towel underneath his head. Jayeon exited the balcony and went to the last place she saw all the weapons and, unsurprisingly, the majority of them were gone. All that was left was her axe and Jay's gun.
Jayeon decided to get dressed for that day. She had a certain feeling. A bad feeling. She knew something was going to happen today. It was going to be something bad. She knew it
