"If you wish to, you're allowed to take your bags." Mr Choi told them. "You'll be given an additional one, too. Everything you'll need is in that bag, including a weapon. You'll leave in intervals of two minutes." He explained. "Good luck."

"First student, Lee Jayeon." He called out.

All eyes were on her.

Jayeon's eyes widened at the sound of her name. It felt like time stopped at that very moment. Her eyes gravitated to the body of Heejin. She had no choice; otherwise, she'd meet the same fate as her classmate. Which she did not want.

She removed her arm from Jay's and stood. Her eyes searched for her school bag, and once spotted she made her way towards it.

Jayeon slung her backpack on and turned around, where she made eye contact with two others. Jay and Jake. One worried, the other fearful. She felt both those emotions and many more, but she managed to muster a smile that was meant to reassure them.

She spun around and walked towards the door where a man shoved a large duffel bag into her arms. She stumbled back at the sudden weight but continued down the dark hallway.

Armed men lined the hall in case she was to try anything stupid. Finally, after that long walk down the hallway, the frigid air of the night hit Jayeons skin, sending chills throughout her body.

Jayeon now had less than two minutes to get to a far place; otherwise, she was more than likely to be killed on the spot if she waited around for either of her friends.

She moved further into the woods, and though there was no one else other than her out there, she still felt nervous. It was so dark out.

After walking for what seemed like an eternity, she found a tree. From that height, Jayeon guessed she wouldn't be easily spotted.

She swung the bag she had been given onto a branch and then began to ascend. Jayeon reached the top without struggling.

Her brand-new shoes had creases in them already after just a day of wearing them, but that wasn't important. What was important was the fact she'd been thrown into a life-or-death situation.

Jayeon was able to see the old rickety school building from the tree she was perched upon. Good, she was able to see who'd leave next. In the time of quiet, Jayeon took this as her chance to open her duffel bag.

There were three bottles of water, three loaves of bread, a map, a compass, a flashlight, and an axe. That was her weapon. An axe. It wasn't the worst weapon, but it wasn't the best. "Physical work..." Jayeon sighed.

But she hadn't even decided whether she would want to kill yet. She shook her head, trying to silence all the unruly thoughts that crept into her head.

Jayeon glanced back at the school, Eunji ran out, clutching her two bags as she ran in the opposite direction. Another two minutes would pass till the next person was to leave.

From her school bag, Jayeon took out her hoodie and slipped it on over her blazer, flicking its hood on. Her eyesight wasn't terrible, but it was better to be safer than sorry, so she placed on her glasses.

Jayeon transferred the items from the green bag into her backpack which she then struggled to close after overfilling it. She placed both straps on either of her shoulders and leaned back on the base of the tree holding her axe in hand as she watched the school.

The first male student exited the building, Kang Jihoon. Without wasting time, he threw the green bag to the floor and rummaged through it. He lucked out with a bow and arrow.

Students at their allocated times flowed out of the school, but there was no sign of either of her friends. How long would they be? Becoming impatient, her head tilted forward as she sighed.
