𝐈𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐄 mech you didn't want to get steamed up, it's Megatronus.
The stars seemed to dim, shying away from the scene they recalled.
He had a plan–a horrible one. One that would change everything.
Megatronus practically ran the pits of Kaon and the mines, leading them with his ideologies as he rose as a gladiator. They followed with their vision blinded with hatred and a new ruby red, not seeing the wrong in what they felt was right. What mattered there was the power of one bot over another when led by nothing but hatred.
It was too easy to do so with the hardships they faced, the world seeming to make their odds come up short. It so easily turned into a blame game, and there was only one way to point their digits.
Those that were above.
He led with a spark of hatred, and he was ruthless and cruel. He led the blind with fear, not that they dared to disobey how he chose to do so. Those that did... Well...
The mech, however, was carefully calculated despite his urge to squash those beneath him as a bigger picture flooded his processors, and he planned to get close with his skill for manipulation and deception.
He wasn't always this way, but the world he lived in made him cruel, turning his optics a crimson shade of red the moment everything was taken from him and a certain truth came to light. A truth the masses had not known yet.
It was his calculation that drew Orion, now Optimus Prime, to his side and telling him of his ideologies and hopes for diminishing factions.
The two saw optic to optic on the matter, but they didn't agree with the how.
So when a certain black and red mech came back with a report to Megatronus about their potential loss of yet another angle, he was already in a rage.
"That tiny gladiator scum is courting her." Axel revealed, lowering his helm slightly at the change of Megatron's aura. It was like throwing more into a fire, causing it to blaze brighter. "And no one is even aware of the Royal's corruption."
Even if nothing was official, it was clear that this meant they lost their outlet of power by getting someone from the Decepticon faction into a high position in Nova Point. That's not to say Neo wasn't, the issue was that he wouldn't follow him loyally if his spark depended on it.
Ignoring him, he voiced something else aloud that the others had voiced concern for, "Orion has always shown too much restraint when it comes to necessary sacrifice for a cause. They gave him the Matrix of Leadership to lead both Decepticon and Autobot. We all know it won't end that way."
There were murmurs of agreement before he went on. "But when I take down the Royals andend their dictatorship once and for all, we will be free to be factionless."
Only his aura gave this away, his expression calm and collected as his followers listened. They had just come from a long cycle of working in the mines and other harsh jobs alike. It made it that much easier for them to hold onto his every glyph.
