I hate her. I loathe her. Everything about her.
I hate her stupid hazel brown hair. I hate her beautiful face. Her adorable innocent face with her glasses. I swear she's the bane of my existence. But...she's my whole reason for being.
The only thing that makes me want to wake up in the morning... With my every breath, every heart beat, I hate her so much I love her.

I feel my jaw tense almost immediately when I see Violet and Eli making out on the couch. Though, she doesn't look passionate with it. It looks as if she's almost bored.

I rip him off of her to the point he's thrown against the arm of the couch.

"You know you're not supposed to be doing that here." I say lowly and darkly.

"Did I ask you?" She snaps.

"You don't have to ask me. I'm telling you anyways."

"As if I care about your opinion." She murmurs. I roll my eyes and simply don't reply to her.

"Dude! What's your problem?!" Eli says standing.
The guy is to my chest, so he has to look up at me, it's quite amusing.

"You. You're my problem." I say lowly.

"What did I ever do to you?!" He shouts.

"Exist." I say immediately regretting it. He laughs clearly not affected by my words.

"Let's go, Vi." Eli holds out a hand to Violet. She doesn't move an inch.

"Violet." He grabs her hand. She just shakes her head and pulls her hand away.

Later that night I'm still at Jace and Violets house. I practically live here. My home life isn't the best. My parents are always nagging at me over what to do with my life. And it's not the simple 'what do you wanna be when you grow up,' not even close. It's pure vitriolic words that pour out of their mouths.

I perch my glasses up on my nose. And right on the dot that's when Violet walks in. Her jaw slightly drops.

"Got a problem?" I bite out as she adjusts her own glasses.

"You...you have glasses?" She stutters a bit. It's cute. Absolutely not.

"Yeah. That bother you?" I ask trying to fight the grin tugging at my lips.

"No." She starts trying to act all unbothered.
Though, little does she know, I see right through her. Always have. Always will.

"Keep telling yourself that, Vi." I let a small smirk form on my lips.

"What? It doesn't bother me." She says trying to mask the fact she is definitely blushing.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I retort.

"It would be a lot better for me to sleep at night if you weren't here."

"Too bad I'm not leaving, good luck with a restless night." I say as she mutters walking away and rolls her eyes.

Truly, I don't think I have ever met someone more adorable than her. What is she doing to me? I'm supposed to be heartless not here drooling over my best friend's little sister. Whatever. I'm done. Absolutely no more thinking about her whatsoever. But, God, she's so pretty—No. I scoff. Clearly it's me who is going to have a restless night.
