Today was the day of the gala and to say I was nervous was an understatement. We arrived at the gala venue and I was ready for Priscilla to slay me to the gods. I walked in the back room with my dress and jimmy and I was super excited to put on my dress and show off. "Red and black?" She asked. "Yes mama hook me up." I said smiling. Jimmy put on his suit as I sat in the chair. "Baby people are here." Jimmy said. "Who's here?" I asked. "Brock Sydney Fred deebo Claire George." I said. "Tell them come up." I said as he called for them come up. "Family." I said hugging them as they smiled. "What's up slime?" Deebo said hugging me. "Im happy to see y'all." I said smiling. "I can't wait to see your dress." Claire said as Clifton curled my hair. "Im nervous about my speech." I said sighing. "You're going to be ok." Deebo said holding my hand as I smiled. "Thank you guys for coming I appreciate it." I said. "No problem we got your back buddy." George said as I smiled. "You clean up well stone cold kittle." I said as we laughed.
Everyone was downstairs waiting for me. I wanted to surprise everyone including jimmy so he was downstairs talking with roman. I walked in and it was something straight out of a fairytale. Everyone clapped as I walked in smiling. I walk over to jimmy as he hugged me clapping still in the background. "Im proud of you baby." Jimmy whispered. "Thank you baby." I said smiling. I went to go get a drink and talk with people. I went to talk with roman and the rock smiling and enjoying the moment when Taylor walks in with ice spice. "Right." I said as I laughed. "Hey boo." I said hugging Taylor and ice. "Your dress is stunning." She said. "Thank you flown in from London." I said smiling. "Taylor this is roman and obvi you know the rock." I said. "Nice to meet you both." Roman said shaking their hands. "You're hot as hell." Ice spice said as we laughed. "Thank you. Are all your friends thirsty for me?" Roman asked. "I mean you don't see your self. Your the head of the table tribal chief why not?" I said as we laughed.
It was time for me to make a speech. The one thing I was nervous about but damn it I gotta do this. I had the rock introduce me. "Good evening everyone. Thank you guys for coming out to support the charity started by this amazing woman who's coming out on stage to share her story. Please have a warm welcome for jaycenia sanders." The rock said as everyone cheered for me. I walked out on stage as everyone stood up for me clapping. The minute I step foot on stage my nerves went away. "Good evening everyone. I want to thank you guys for coming and to support a good cause." I spoke into the microphone. "As you guys know Ive been through domestic violence. One in four women experience intimate partner violence and one in nine men have experience the same. Though my foundation, My goal is to give back to both men and women who have not only been victims of intimate partner violence and the same ones who have been homeless as a result of it." I said as people started clapping. "As most of you guys know my life changed on may 4th 2017." I said tearing up as the rock jimmy and roman stood on stage to be my protectors. "You got this jay." Jamar shouted as I laughed. "Thank you Jamar." I said sniffling. "My life changed on may 4th, 2017. I arrived home to visit my family. My abuser found me and proceeded to attack me numerous times. I had my head split open, my nose broken in 2 places glass shards still in left arm. After multiple surgeries, I had 2 heart attacks on the operating table." I said continuing my speech. No one in the house was emotionless everyone was crying or sitting there quiet. "After my last surgery on June 24th, 2017 I knew that after that day If I can survive this, then I can survive anything the world can give me." I said drying my face as everyone clapped again. "Later on that year, I met the love of my life jimmy." I said as he waved smiling. "I told jimmy I don't know if im the person for you because I come with a lot of trauma. He looked at me and said We all have our battle scars Im not going anywhere." I said as he smiled as everyone awed and clapped. "I wanted to thank everyone for coming we have our auction for anyone who wants to bid on some good stuff. Thank you guys for coming." I said as everyone cheered.
I went to change into another outfit and to talk with people. Shayla comes over hugging me as I smiled. "I love you." She said as I smiled. "I love you too." I said. "I remember when Leanna and marina found you." She said as kimmie dried her face. "No cry mommy." She said as I smiled. "Come here titi." I said holding her. I walk over holding kimmie where the rock and roman were standing. "Hey y'all." I said. "Who's this pretty lady?" Roman asked. "This is my godbaby kimmie." I said as she hides behind me. "Don't be shy titi they aren't going to hurt you." I said as she smiled at roman and the rock. She gives roman and the rock high fives as she smiled. She holds her arms up for roman to pick her up. We took a picture together as I smiled.
The auction was starting as the first item was announced. Jordans inspired by different movies. I aint gonna lie I wanted to bid on them but I couldn't because one I have too many shoes and 2 I did the charity so it wouldn't be fair. The auction was going good so far. We made about eight grand and counting. The auction ended as the rock made an announcement. "Jay can you come here please?" He asked as I walked on stage. "I know how much this cause means to you and I wanted to make it special for you. On behalf of myself id like to donate $2 million dollars to help your reach your Goal." He said as I teared up as everyone cheered. "Thank you." I said hugging him as I dried my face. Jimmy comes over hugging me excited as I cried tears of joy. The party continued as I talked and mingled around the room. I honestly chose to ignore Patricks wife. She was here with him so why do I feel the need to talk to her she's here like the plants in the room. As im talking to jey and rhea, she comes over. "Can I talk to you?" She asked. "Sure." I said hesitant. "Excuse me guys." I said walking over to her and Taylor. "I want to apologize for judging you." She said as I sipped my drink. I was surprised to hear her say this considering she had no reason to judge me but then again we are talking about a walking clout chaser. "You realized im more than a pair of tits and half a brain like you have right?" I said as roman and jimmy looked over. "She good?" Roman asked. "Yeah she got that." Jimmy said. "Look thank you for apologizing it's a nice night I don't wanna do this right now." I said before walking off. "What happened?" Jimmy asked. "I lost brain cells dealing with her." I said as roman laughed. "Y'all check me for shanks in my back." I said as they laughed. "That bitch aint fucking up my night post malone is performing and im here with my friends." I said as we cheered. Cardi comes in as I look. I run up to her hugging her tight. I know she's been busy with her rollout but it meant a lot that she showed up. "Thank you for coming." I said smiling. "Of course." She said. "a lot of people ordered that special whip shot cocktails you came up with." I said as she smiled. "I aint even finna cap that strawberry one is my favorite." She said as I laughed. "taste better off roman and jimmy." I said as we laughed. Jimmy seems me laughing with cardi smiling at me all proud and shit that I made all this came true. Post malone came on as I sat with jimmy enjoying him perform as we all vibed out. I held baby kimmie as we listened to post go off. "Thank you guys." He said as everyone cheered. As im talking with roman and Nikki, Jimmy goes to the mic. "Can I get everyone's attention?" Jimmy said. "Ive been with jay for4 years ive known her for six over the years we have been through a lot and I wanted to celebrate her for a second." I said smiling. The next thing I heard was the beginning notes of "Love song" By 311. I started slow dancing with jimmy as everyone watched us dancing. "I feel like this is my prom." I said as he laughed. "I love you babe." He said. "I love you too." I said as the girls filmed us. The next song that came on was "I'll be loving you forever" By New Kids on the Block. When im in jimmy's arms that's when I feel the most safe and secure.
