I was back in the office after Alex and Teresa's sham of a wedding and once again I was right about what a lying evil skank she was. Brady walks in upset as I sit at the computer typing as he looks at me. "Cass." He said as I typed ignoring him. I knew he still had feelings for teresa and yet here he is choosing to drink with a pass around like Ava of all people. "What do you want Brady?" I asked annoyed. "Listen I owe you an explanation." He said as I stood up. "You don't owe me anything. Only thing you owe yourself is to brush your teeth and get ready. We have a work meeting while your trifling baby mother marries an idiot." I said as I got my stuff together for the meeting.
After the meeting, I took myself out to lunch and funny enough there was Ava the town slut. "Hey cass." She said as I walked passed her. "Cass?" She said trying to get my attention. "You must be really proud of yourself Ava." I said. "What are you talking about?" She asked. "You and Brady drinking? Do you know he's an addict. But then again I don't expect your fly by night ass to know." I said. "You know." She said. "Damn right I knew." I said as she looked at me. "Cass look." She said. "No aint no look. I know you're not partial responsible for what happened but hear this. If something happens to Brady and I find out in any way you are apart of it, Im coming for you." I said before leaving her.
I got back to my apartment not wanting to talk to anyone. I sat on the couch as Brady continued to call me but it went right to voicemail. As im ignoring Brady, I hear a knock at my door. "Sarah Xander hi." I said. "Hey cass we wanted to check on you." Sarah said. "Thank you but don't you guys have a honeymoon to go on?" I asked. "Well Sarah would talk about you in the limo about you worrying so we wanted to see you." He said. "I appreciate it. At least you didnt curse out Ava like I did." I asked as she looked at me confused. "What are you talking about?" Xander asked. "She slept with Brady and caused him to relapse." I said. "What?" Sarah said. "Yeah I was helping Brady with his AA classes all for him to piss it away for a bitch like her. She slept with Brady and almost everyone in this town what lengths won't she go to?" I asked.
Sarah and Xander had already left and I felt myself feeling better. Little did I know that moment wouldn't last long as my peace was interpreted by a knock at the door. I opened it to see the last person I expected. "Hey, Cass." He said as I rolled my eyes. "I know you don't want to talk to me." He said. "You got that right," I said. "Let me tell you something right now Alex. I told you Teresa was no good but you accused me of being jealous and bitter when all ive done is have your best interest at heart but im the jealous one. Let me guess Teresa told you I was no good and jealous." I said. "Come on no sense in hiding now tell me," I said. "She did," Alex said. "And now look at you at my door begging for me to let you in knowing you made a mistake," I said. "Cass look. I know I messed up but please I need you." He said. "You need me? You need me?" I said laughing amused. "Go to Teresa that's your love right?" I said. Alex held his head down sad because he knew everything I was saying was the truth. "You can leave Alex im done with you," I said before closing the door. I sat on the couch tearing up a little bit. As I sat down drying my face, Brady knocked at the door. "Can people leave me alone?" I said opening it to see Brady. "Look who it is." I said smiling amused but steaming on the inside. "Cass I'm sorry i was upset about Teresa and Alex." He said. "You a hypocrite you know that?" I said. "What are you talking about?" He asked confused. "You won't let Holly and Tate be together knowing he had nothing to do with her overdosing and here you go. Drinking to drown your sorrows because you lost the love of your life. Or in the case of you the lie of your life." I said rolling my eyes and walking to the kitchen. "Look Brady I like working at basic black but I'm not going to allow your mistakes to interfere with business. I think until you get your life in order we will revisit our arrangement." I said firmly. "Ok Cass," Brady said as I sighed looking away from him. "Cass Im sorry I hurt you." He said. "Everyone seems to hurt me, Brady. Your not the first and you damn sure wont be the last." I said as he held his head down before leaving. I broke down crying as soon as the door closed. I was standing in the courtyard looking at my phone when Marlena saw me. "Cassandra." She said getting my attention. "Hey, Marlena," I said. "You look a little distracted." She said. "Yeah Umm, it's been a rough few days," I said. "Are you and Brady getting along?" She asked. "I heard about him still having feelings for Teresa." She said. "Good as can be," I said. "Well, I think that you are a gem and a bright light in his life." She said as I smiled. "Thank you, Marlena," I said as she hugged me. "Now Will I see you at dinner tonight?" She asked. "Umm," I said looking at Alex. "I wouldn't miss it," I said as she smiled. "I'll see you later." She said before leaving. "What you want Alex?" I asked annoyed. "I wanted to talk to you." He said. "Take a number," I said before walking away. "Cass look. Im sorry I should have listened to you." He said. "You know how many times I heard that from you? Like at some point your going to need to take responsibility for your actions and yourself alex. No matter how many therapy sessions you go to its not going to change anything." I said before leaving him in the courtyard.
