Rose-

Today is the first day at college in true way. I missed so much. I attended the college and because of that humiliation , I have not actually spoken with anyone. So I will take this day as day one and start making friends. 

I chose a rose pink colored crop top and denim shorts. I paired it with my favorite heels. I did my makeup and left my hair open. I saw myself in a mirror and I looked good. I went down for breakfast. I saw Lily , she was dressed in a simple black top and pair of jeans. but she looked good. Dad saw me and disappointment flashed in his eyes but he covered it immediately.

"Good morning Rose. ready for college?" Lily asked me in delighted tone. "Yeah." I said not wanting to make further conversations. "By the way, who is your ride today? because Stephen's car went for maintenance and his sport car can take only two people." she asked as if it was obvious that she will be his ride and I am an option. my mood spoiled in a second. Dad looked at me for answer. mom as always was busy in cutting fruits. "um I dont know. I have no friends yet in college. could you ask someone?" I asked her. "yeah, sure" she said and munched on her sandwich. 

We heard horns and we went out to see 2 cars in porch. Stephen was getting out of one and someone from other car. I saw a girl. she looked okay. "hey babe, how are you. hi Rose." he greeted with a charming smile. then greeted my parents. Lily came and hugged him. I went for hug but she was standing there not moving an inch. I took a step back. 

"what are you guys waiting for?" dad asked us and we nodded. Stephen hold the door and I was sitting in. He gave me a weird look. "ummm Rose?" he said. "yeah?" I asked him as I was getting comfortable in seat. it is good ride. "what are you doing?" he asked me. I looked at him and he was still holding the door. "getting a ride, duh" I smiled at him and he chuckled. "yeah , it is just , this is not your ride. she is waiting for you. Lily and me are taking this one." he said.

 I was shocked. I came out and looked at Lily. she was talking to the girl. "Andrea, this is my sister Rose.Rose this is Andrea. my friend and your ride for today.Let's meet in the parking lot. yeah?" she was leaving  but I caught her hand and in hushed tone , I asked her. " what are you doing? she is your friend , I dont even know her. Why dont you ride with her? I asked you.Right?" 

"ohh.. Actually I thought we were talking about your ride. So I asked her for you. I am sorry Rose. Let me ask Stephen first because he said he was going to give me ride." and without any notice, she yelled from where she standing. "hey babe, could you please take Rose with you?  she is uncomfortable with Andrea. So I will take Andrea's ride and you take Rose. how's that?" but before Stephen could answer, dad came out and gave me a look. "What are you guys doing here? don;t you have a school?" he asked. "yeah dad. leaving" Lily said and left for andrea's car.

"Lily, sweetie what are you doing? Stephen is there" dad said. "yeah about that, actually Rose is not comfortable with Andrea. She doe not even know her. so she asked me if she could ride with Steph?" Lily answered with smile. "That is not appropriate Rose. though you dont know Andrea, this is very rude of you to decline her ride. you can get to know each other meanwhile. Besides, Stephen is Lily's boyfriend. How could yo u say this?" dad  reprimanded. 

"yes dad. I am sorry. I will be with Andrea." I said through gritted teeth. and left for Andrea's car. We met at paring lot where people were filling in. I saw Lily's group today. I mean I have seen them but not talked to them. I will do it today. 

bell rang and we headed to first lecture. As we were walking , I saw girls looking at Stephen in awe, Lily with jealousy and me.. well I could not decipher the look. may be adoration? I have a great body. 

Soon we were done with the lectures, and left for Cafeteria for lunch. I was sitting at the table and Lily was taking our lunch. People sitting at our table were looking at their phones and whispering. I remembered the scene at mall and was now standing for Lily to get the food. She came and I grabbed the tray before she does something. 

"So Rose, why were you not sitting with us since day one?" one friend , I believe her name was Nina asked me. I did not like her tone It was somewhat bitchy. "she was grounded and so was embarrasses to sit with us" Stephen took the chance to speak. Steph , was that necessary to reveal?

"why were you grounded?" Nina asked again. "aren't you nosy one?" "because of that video" me and other boy at the table spoke at the same time. I glared at him. "Oh Jared, yes now I remember. She looked familiar. Rose, you were way too rude." she said while digging in her food. "can we please not talk about it? she already suffered alot because of it." Lily said. "babe, you are too kind. you know Nina, she even had her dad convinced to lift the grounding. she asked Andrea to give her ride today. isnt she an amazing sister? " Stephen cooed like she is the only one. 

"Rose you must be feeling lucky to have her. aren't you?" Nina said. I just smiled and nodded. I wish I could tell you how much I love her...To die. I would do anything to kill her.
