Chapter 1: Its not just allergies

Three months ago Loki teleported away from stark tower during the battle of NYC and since he was weakened by Thanos during that time he decided he really had no choice but to stay in Midgard and hide in the shadows (see what I did there?). He got an apartment and has been living on Midgard ever since. It was a chilly November day and loki put on his usual spell so people wouldn't recognize him. Loki was a frost giant so the cold obviously didn't faze him but while going on his early morning walk he felt..off, his throat felt sore but he didn't think much of it and brushed it off. He never wore a coat outside because he's a frost giant obviously and people would give him weird looks like "mf where the fuck is your coat it's 32 degrees outside dumb ass" but he ignored them. During the day his throat progressively got more dry and sore but he thought it's just allergies or something and went to bed. He woke up the next morning in so much pain. His throat was on fire, not literally but it felt like it, his whole body hurt especially his head, his nose was stopped up with disgusting mucus, he felt cold yet he was sweating buckets which was definitely weird, and he was coughing and sneezing like crazy. He also felt nauseous and thought the nausea would go away but he found out the hard way it didn't and he managed to get to the bathroom before throwing up. He decided to try and take it a bit easier today but still went outside without a coat but the second he stepped outside he marched back in his apartment and grabbed his coat. He thought this illness he had would pass eventually if he just took it slow and didn't exert himself as usual, obviously not. He woke up the next day in even more pain and his chest was starting to hurt a bit and he was literally so tired. "What the Hel is this" Loki whispered to himself and decided enough was enough. He had never gone to Midgard's healers (doctors Midgardians called them) and he didn't know if they could help him but he decided to go in the morning. He woke up on a Thursday morning and felt even worse which he didn't even know was possible and he dragged himself out of bed, got ready (barely), and headed to the nearest doctors office. He walked in and he told them about what was happening and they told him to take a seat and someone would be with him shortly. After a good 30 minutes someone finally came to grab Loki and take him back to a room and a nurse spoke to him once they arrived to the room "hi I'm nurse Stella your Loki correct?" She asks and Loki nods. She's very pretty and sweet and Loki likes this Midgardian healer. "Great I'm just gonna ask you a couple questions ok? Alright so when did this sickness start?" Stella asks and Loki responds but his voice is pretty gravely "I believe it was 4 days ago" he said and Stella nods and types that in her computer and asks another question "ok and what have been your symptoms?" She asks and he responds "Fever, Chills, coughing, sneezing, muscle pain, migraines, chest congestion, sore throat, nausea, and vomiting" Loki says and she puts all that in her computer and nods "ok Loki here's what I will do, I'll get you tested for strep and flu A and Flu B and if you get a positive result on any of these I'll give you some medication alright?" She says and Loki nods and she leaves the room and comes back with another nurse and they take a swab of his saliva and send it to be tested. Loki sits in the room waiting and says to himself "what is taking so damn long" and another 10 minutes go by before Nurse Stella comes back. "Ok so you tested positive for Flu A I've got some medicine for you" she hands him a regular sized bottle with some pills in it "take one of these pills in the morning and one at night for about a week. Also I have some anti fever medication for you" she hands him a bottle of violet looking liquid with a small cup. "Take a cup of it every 6 hours. I would also recommend an ice pack too, some vaporub, a vaporizer, and hot showers too those always help. For the nausea I would say eat a few saltine crackers, and sip on some room temperature water slowly so you don't get too dehydrated. I hope you get better soon Loki you can leave when your ready" she leaves the room and Loki gets up and heads out of the doctors office. He goes home and takes a hot shower, he gets out and takes the pills and the liquid, Loki hated the taste of the liquid but forced it down anyway. Over the week he slowly started to feel better and by the next weekend he was back to normal and realized maybe he should wear a coat when it's cold outside, he really didn't want to but the thought of getting sick like that again scared him enough so he walked out his door with a heavy coat on and damn did he learn the hard way.
