A week after the blizzard Loki was walking around NYC per usual and he noticed there were a lot of decorations like wreaths, pine trees with lights, and hanging glass circles on them, a star on top of the tree, snowflakes, more lights, and white bearded men wearing red suits. Loki was pretty puzzled and had no idea what the hel this was so he went back to his apartment and searched it up. "Christmas...Is that a Midgardian holiday perhaps?" Loki said to himself and sure enough he was right. He read a paragraph online about it, "Christmas is on December 25th, it celebrates the day Jesus Christ is born, decorations like wreaths, bells, lights, Christmas trees, ornaments, and candy canes are common during this time of the year. You are supposed to make gifts for your loved ones and in exchange get a gift yourself" Loki read out loud but what really threw him for a loop is when the page started talking about someone named Saint Nicholas AKA Santa Clause. Apparently this guy lives in the North Pole and has a bunch of elves that make toys for children on Christmas Day. He wears a red and white suit, has a white beard, and has a wife as well named Mrs. Clause. He supposedly delivers all the gifts around the world in one night, that seemed impossible to Loki though. He had a sleigh and reindeer whose names were Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolf. These Reindeer supposedly powered his sleigh and made it able for Santa to fly around the whole world and deliver gifts to all the children. "How dumb, children really believe this?" Loki said and rolled his eyes. He didn't know much about Christmas so he decided to watch a Christmas movie and try to figure it out by himself per usual. The first Christmas movie he decided to try was called "It's a wonderful life" and the plot is basically a man who wants to visit the world but gives up his dreams when he finds a beautiful girl. They have a happy life together until a lot of very unfortunate events occur and he stands at the edge of a bridge until someone falls in before he jumps and the man saves the person who fell. Terrance the person he saved claimed to be an angel sent by God who needed to get his wings so he was sent to help the man. After the man wished he was never born God granted his wish and the man got to see what life would have been like if he didn't exist. The man was very sad and told the angel Terrance he was sorry and wanted to go back and by the end of the movie the man and his family are happy again and before you ask...yes Terrance got his wings. Loki actually really liked the movie a lot and it really touched him so he watched another one this time it was called the Polar Express. The plot of this movie is a young child maybe at age 12. He wants to figure out if Santa is real so he stays up really late on Christmas Eve until he hears loud sounds outside and his house starts to shake, he walks outside to see a massive train in the front of his house and walks in the train to see a bunch more kids ages probably 5-13 in the train as well. The train is supposedly heading to the North Pole so the kid sticks around and after a load of amazing and touching scenes they finally make it to the North Pole and meet Santa. Santa gives the boy a bell and they go back home. If you believed in Santa the bell would ring if you shook it but if you didn't you couldn't hear the bell but from then on for the rest of his life the boy would ring the bell and always hear it. Loki really loved this movie too and decided to do another one. The next one was called home alone and the plot went like this, a young boy named Kevin McAllister is left at home by accident while his parents take a trip to France for Christmas. Kevin is a huge troublemaker and he basically starts destroying the house once he realizes his family isn't there but soon he grows to miss them. There are 2 crooks in a band called the Wet Bandits and they organized multiple crimes on the houses in the neighborhood while everyone was away for Christmas. They thought Kevin's house was empty until they learned Kevin is still there and they left him. The Crooks severely underestimated Kevin and Kevin learns what the crooks plans are and quickly booby traps his house for the crooks and the crooks fall right into Kevin's traps and Kevin gets the last laugh and the two crooks go to jail. His family finally makes it home to him and apologizes for everything and no one ever found out about the crooks. Loki laughed a lot in this movie and watched another one. This Christmas movie was called ELF. The plot was there was a baby who's name is buddy. He was left in an orphanage and when Santa stopped at the orphanage buddy crawled into Santa's bag and when Santa got back to the North Pole he discovered buddy. The Elves decided to raise him as their own even though he was a human. One day buddy is told the truth and Santa and his elf dad let him go to NYC and find his actual dad. The movie itself is hilarious and by the end of it Loki was laughing. Loki decided to watch one more Christmas movie called How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The plot was this, The Grinch was a green creature who absolutely hated Christmas as well as the who's. The who's were a large group people who lived in a town called Whoville and absolutely loved Christmas. A little girl in Whoville decided to try and help The Grinch fit in and start liking Christmas but it goes horribly wrong and the girl is humiliated. The Grinch decided that he hated Christmas so much that he would get rid of it. He dressed up as Santa Clause and stole all the gifts, decorations, Christmas dinner, anything Christmas related he stole on Christmas Eve while everyone was asleep. But after he did it he realized he was wrong and brought everything back and The Grinch was finally able to fit in and the little girl warmed his heart. Loki loved the story and decided he actually really liked Christmas. The days went by and Loki actually managed to decorate a bit in his apartment and on December 25th Loki celebrated, although it was a small celebration he did it anyway and realized that Midgardian holidays are actually really nice, they didn't have stuff like this in Asgard so Loki was glad to have something special to celebrate. And on that day Loki really did realize the true meaning of Christmas.
