I am probably just going to stop after this one, I might not even post it so I hope you like it.

"Can you tell me a secret. A big secret that my parents don't want me to know." Oak had introduced Astra to a mortal game called truth or dare - it was so much more fun playing with the folk as they could tell no lies - and the princess was currently playing the game with the new seneschal, Jude and Cardan thought it would be a good idea so they could spend a bit more time with their children. She could tell that Aine was thinking over the secret she was forced to tell the princess and decided on one that would have shocked the whole of Elfhame if it got out and ruined the seneschal life (as it ended it).
"You are not the real Princess Astra," The seneschal's eyes glittered with satisfaction as response to Astra's confusion, "Your servants swapped you as a child when the real princess died as they didn't want to feel the High King and Queen's wrath after having so many miscarriages - they thought they could only have the two and if one of them died. They found out a year ago and told me - I just changed the wording around what I swore to not tell you." Astra ran. The words that she was just told could not be true but they also couldn't be fake. She had to find her parents - they would tell her the truth, the real truth that would help her understand.
"I need to see my parents." Astra was standing outside the royal chambers trying to keep tears in and wondering how she just said those words; if what Aine had said was true, she shouldn't have been able to say them. The guards at the door started arguing saying that they would be sleeping but that was ridiculous - it wasn't even Astra's time to go to sleep. Clearly one of them heard the commotion happening outside their rooms as the doors opened and Jude and Cardan stood there looking pretty annoyed.
"What is happening here." Cardan directed the question at the guard who stammered as he tried to explain that they asked to not be bothered and tried to explain that to Astra but she wouldn't listen and insisted she needed to talk to you. Jude was furious with this excuse: "She is our daughter. And if you listened to us - our children our always welcome to talk to us." She gestured for Astra to come inside and she obliged with her father following closing the door and leaving Jude to talk to the guard.
He sat down and Astra followed sitting at the other end of the sofa and staring at him. She didn't waste any time, "Am I your child? Like am I the child you decided to name Astra or just someone that the servants thought looked like her? Aine told me and she cant lie!" Cardan looked thoughtful and then angry and then pitying, "Jude!" Almost instantly, Jude came through the doors and was going to say something but looked into her husband's eyes and understood what Astra had just said.
"Astra. Yes you aren't our birth daughter but we still love you and you are still our daughter." Cardan moves to hug Astra and she accepts melting into her fathers arms - Jude joins the tow of them and they hug each other. "We're sorry we didn't tell you earlier - as soon as we found out. We thought you were too young and..." Jude trailed off and Astra nodded understanding but still annoyed that she had to get told in a stupid game.
Cardan asks how she found out with specifics and Astra told them that Aine told her after she asked for a secret that they didn't want her to know and she told her. Aine was killed for what she did and Astra eventually managed to live with her parents not really being her parents.
Hoped you liked that short one. It will be the last one - I just cant be motivated anymore but hope you liked the writing and if you by some miracle have actually read this and enjoyed it and read the inheritance games, I have a oneshot collection and a book about that - I also have a book that I'm trying to write about Percy Jackson and Greek Mythology.
