The second I walk into detention, a smile pulls at my lips. As I see him, my mind flashes back to last week when we kissed on the rooftop.

Snape found out about the magic Tom had used to clean the cauldrons, but he hasn't done anything about it. Instead, he continues to leave the classrooms, leaving Tom and I to ourselves.

He's already at the desk, the cauldrons on the tables and the rags wiping away the muck from the metal. He taps his fingers against the desk with boredom, his eyes snapping to me at the soft thump of my shoe.

"It's your turn." I tell him softly, sitting down in the stool across from him.

He smiles, dimples creasing his cheeks as his eyes squint. "If you could go anywhere you want with whoever you want, where would you go and with whom would you choose?"

I quirk a brow. "Dead or alive?"

"Dead or alive." He confirms, nodding once.

"I'd go to Hawaii with Elvis." I answer, smiling to myself. "Not in the sense of hooking up with him, I just want to watch him play ukulele and hear the waves at the same time."

He hums to himself. "Your turn."

"Alright, Riddle." I smirk, leaning forward. "Do you trust me?"

He scoffs, shaking his head. "I trust no one."

"Pretend." I whisper back.

I hop off of the stool and slip my hand into his. His hand practically swallows mine as I drag him away from the desks. He doesn't fight back like I did, he just continues to walk behind me.

I lead him through the halls, practically skipping as we go.

"My turn." He says softly, allowing me to lead him out through the main door. "Where are you taking me?"

"A pretty place." I answer cryptically, smiling back at him. "No more questions, not yet."

"Yes, ma'am." He responds, the words sending electric volts down my spine.

I look back at him, slipping my other hand into his as I blindly lead us down the path behind Hogwarts. His face is lightly illuminated by the moon, sharpening his features but softening his eyes.

Gods, he's so beautiful.

The gravel crunches beneath our feet and I slow near the edge of the forbidden forest. He halts entirely, his hand tightening on mine as I spin.

"Kaeda, where are you bringing me?" He asks again, skeptical of my intentions.

"I know you don't trust me, Riddle." I tell him, releasing his hand and backing into the darkness. "But, I'm asking you to pretend."

I turn again, making my way through the bushes.

"Kaeda." He calls out from the edge. "Stop it."

"Come on, Tom. Are you scared?" I tease, scrunching up my nose.

He whispers something that sounds a lot like 'fuck it' before taking out his wand and casting a lumos spell.

I stand a few feet in front of him and hold my hand out for his. "Extinguish it. Let me lead you, Riddle."

He sighs, waving his wand before tucking it into the inner pocket of his suit.

I guide him through the woods, stepping around rocks, climbing over logs, weaving through trees. And once I see the familiar glow, I grin.

I pull him faster.

We break through the bushes, and he audibly gasps. His eyes are shooting all around as he takes in his surroundings.
