Ch.7 Trying New Things

Kassey's P.O.V.

"You should let me pick your outfit out for today," she says with a huge grin on her face.

I simply smile politely, "Uh, well I dont know about that.."

"C'mon,  just this once and who knows you may even like it." She says with a wink, "Ugh, fine," I reply and she runs to my closet with a giggle.

"I'm going to shower real quick, dont take too long please," I say as I grab my bathroom caddy and head to the bathroom. I then turn on warm water and clip my hair up for the shower. I play my morning "I AM WOMAN" by Emmy Meli, to get my day started great.

As I'm getting out the shower, I do my morning skincare as I hear my mom yelling "OKAY GIRLS, YOU'RE HITTING THE 20 MINS MARK!!" Oh shoot, I'm usually better on time but with the incident of the accidental sleepover last night I'm running a bit behind, I open the door and peek my head out, I dont see Jordan anywhere yet I see the my side door unlocked with a sticky note that reads "I promise no one saw me, I'm taking you to school ;) Meet at Em's house for 7:15am, Outfit is on the bed, with shoes." I then turn with a smile on my face, gosh she is kind, I look at the bed to see another sticky note that also says "I was trying to go for an edgy look, buuuttt you dont really have black in your closet, so this is what I could throw together. See you soon ;)"

As I look down on my bed, I see my light blue crop top on top of my old light navy blue plaid skirt that was my old school uniform, I completely forgot I still had that skirt. I then see she laid out my dark toned fish net stocking I used for halloween one year, with my white puffy socks on top, and my tan checkered vans next to it. I also saw a pink/beige bag on my bed too with a sticky note on it that states, " Use this bag today, I took everything out your backpack and placed it in here ;)" Gosh what is with all the winky faces..

Once I finish getting ready, I added a little bit of my leave in conditioner to help with my frizziness and to kind re define my curls since I did not wash them, I styled my blonde curly hair in this half up half down with these cute little space buns.. Mom's yelling again "10 Mins young ladies," I then hear my phone go off, when I look it's Jordan, that send a text saying, "Just a reminder, see you soon," which i'm assuming is Jordan. Shoot I notice the time and it's almost 7, I head downstairs to make me some breakfast.

I make my way to the fridge to get orange juice and the cream cheese when I hear my mom speak up, "Oh well good morning, did you have a rough night last night or over sleep? You're usually down eating breakfast with 25 or more mins to spare before leaving, not left with 5 mins.. Are you experimenting in styles? You look out your comfort zone, it's cute."

"Oh no I woke up pretty early, did my normal routine, I'm just going to catch a ride with Emiley this morning...we're leaving at 7:20, and yeah im just trying new things out.." I say as I grab two bagels out the toaster, on one bagel, I put cream cheese and avocado and on the other bagel, I just put cream cheese. I place the normal bagel in a ziplock as I eat mine. "Alright girls, IN THE CAR NOW, we're leaving," mom yells.

Mom then grabs ZJ to place in the car as I see both of my sisters running down the stairs, both glancing me up and down as theyre headed to the front door, "I'm surprised you're not already in the car, but what's with the style? you usually look a bit more nerdy.. Also why do you have my bag?" Amber says with a grunt, "I'm just trying something different, also my bad it was in my boxes so I didnt think much about it." I smile and grab the ziplock bagel head as we're walking out the front door. Evie chimes in, "Well I think you're outfit is actually pretty cute"

As they're getting into the car i'm walking across the yard to Em's house when they give me a questioned look. I can hear them distantly asking mom questions as mom is shushing them. I get to Em's house and there's no vehicles here besides a silver Chevrolet Malibu, the same car I noticed yesterday evening. I ring the doorbell and hear Em yell "it's open", I then walk inside to see Jordan sitting on the counter while Em is pouring coffee into a tumbler cup. She's wearing these black baggy ripped jeans with fishnet underneath, the fishnet holes are large, she has there chains hanging on the side with a loosely fitted crop top with mesh long sleeve underneath. She also has this belt that is around her waist and hangs down on the side with her black combat boots on.

I take a glance a Jordan on the counter and she looks effortlessly cute. She has these black thigh high shorts that have a bunch of designs on them, with just a simple white nike shirt on, with some van socks and black checkered vans on, except hers has shoelaces and are not slide ons like mine.  She actually has enough hair to have her hair in  small cute bun which looks good on her.

"Alright bitches lets get this show on the road." Em says as she walks past us and heads for the front door. Jordan jumps off the counter and gets in front of me with both arms leaning on the counter, she smirks and whispers, " Mmmm I knew this would look hot on you. Then turns and heads for the front doors also. My face gets all red as I head to the front door with my head facing down so they dont see my blushing.

Em is already laying down in the backseat with her headphones in as Jordan opens the passenger door for me, "Are you sure Em doesn't want the front seat? I dont mind sitting in the back," I smile. "No KayBean, she actually told me she was sitting in the back," Jordan replies, I then sit down as she closes my door for me. Hm, she's kind of sweet also. She gets in and turns the music as it is 7:25am when we're heading to school. I give her the second bagel I made, "It may not be warm anymore, but I made this extra bagel for you".

"Why thank you love, and I dont care if it's cold or not," she says with a smirk and winks. as she pulls off the street.

Ugh, i do apologize, i havent been writing every day like i said, i had gotten side tracked, trying to make sure everything is set for me to start cosmetology school, had a contest so i was focused on that.. will try to write maybe two chapters tomorrow.. let me know what you think, if you like this chapter or liked the outfits, or suggest anything.
