It All Started With Her

Ch.3 Dinner

Kassey's P.O.V.

At the bar, Evie, Tyler, ZJ, and Mason are eating their food. My mother, father, Mrs. Rose and Mr. Steven, Ambs, Emiley, and I are sitting are at the kitchen table eating. My father and Mr.Steven are talking about my dad's new studio while my mom and Mrs.Rose are discussing recipes and she's telling her about the kind of store she's wanting to open. Amber is all into her phone as usual, doing God know what. I grunt out a huff then turn to Emiley to try and conversate.

"So do you like out here?" I ask her, "Ehhh, can't really say if I don't, I've been here all my life. Do I think it's shitty? yeah, but other than that I guess it's alright." She smiles simply, "I'm just shittin ya, I like the people here, they're great and pretty chill. The school's are good, like the teachers are nice and helpful, just not the kids in them, lol are you going to school with us tomorrow?"

"Uh yeah, I think my mom is driving us, and going up there to get everything situated and find out what classes we will have.. also see if I need to test there to make sure I still am in honors just like all my other years. This will be Amber and I's junior year, but we may not have same classes due to her failing, Evie's starting her freshman year . what about you?" I ask as a chew some of my remaining food on my plate. "Oh same here, its my junior year, and Tyler's sophomore year, I feel for him because he thinks hes hot shits for making the football team..School activities and sports are lame. I usually am skating with my best friend or we sit under the bleachers at lunch to be alone.." "Oh that sounds pretty cool, I was never one for sports either, but then again I never did any marvelous things either, usually was in the library all the time.." We then hear a giggle come from Evelyn and turn to look that way..

As we look, we see Tyler and Evie snicker to each other again he's scooted a little closer to Evelyn and trying to get her to scoot even more closer. "Gosh he's trying to sweet talk your sister, he needs to learn some better moves, lord." She snickers a little more, "Yeah but know Evie, she just might fall for his words, give it about two weeks, I bet they'll be more." She quickly snaps her head to me, "alright Kay, it's a bet. and call me Em by the way." then puts her hand out and I go to shake hers. "You're the first to call me Kay, I like it."

We finish eating and go wash up, we all walk to the restrooms to clean our hands. Em and I decide to chill for a little while our parents are still talking. Tyler tells his parents that Evie is going with him to his room and my moms head snaps so fast, "I think not Evelyn Maree Bryan, you are not going into a boys room, either you can go with Kass into Emiley's room or you can head home with Amber."

"But moom, you act like we were going to do anything, I literally just met him today." Evelyn cried out to my mom, "You heard what I said Nicole."

Me and Em turn and laugh at each other and head up to her room. "OMG, did you see how serious my mom was?" I ask Em, "yeah girl, it's like she knows how my brother is lol." she laughed and headed over to her closet. "Man I'm so glad that I don't have a thing for boys."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAATT?!?" Em yells, "huh, whats wrong?" I ask her. "You just said you don't have a think for boys!" She said wide eyed. "Oh, uh, I did? I thought I said that in my head, OMG you can't tell anyone!!!! Literally no one knows, not even anyone in my family!" She walks over to me, and places a hand on my shoulder, "Oh Kay, my love, I'm not going to tell anyone until you're ready, you literally have my word, my lips are sealed!"

"Kassey !!! It's time to goooooo! we are leaving, Let's go!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs. "well I had fun tonight, we've got to do it more!" I smile wide.

I head downstairs to see my dad carrying my brother towards the front door cause he is sleeping. I look it my left at a clock and see that is 9:48pm. "Well it was great to meet everyone!" Says Mr.Steve, "Yes, yes it was thank you for the invite!" Replies my dad.

"Thanks for hanging with me Em, see you at school tomorrow?" I smile simply.

"yes of course silly," she laughs.

We all start to head home and I make my way to the kitchen to get a snack, and see my dad standing by the counter drinking milk, "I actually think I'm going to like it here pops." He gives me a soft smile and replies "That's great pickle, the school is even better, go get some rest, you have to get up early."

"Love you pops," I give him a hug and head upstairs, as I'm passing Evie's room, I hear her on the  phone so I place my ear close to the door and hear her whispering..."Ty shhhhh, I'm not even suppose to be on the phone this late, I need you to be more quiet so I dont get caught!!" I walk off with a smirk knowing she's already crushing and that I'll win the bet.. I then get ready for bed and set my clothes out for tomorrow. I just simply laugh and shake my head, I turn my lamp off and head to sleep.

I'm slowly re editing each chapter to try and make it a bit better or more updated, I did change a few things about some of the characters and their characteristics but it is my first story so it may not be the greatest.
