Chapter 10 - An unexpected phone call

'Two pieces are added to the chessboard... But only one can be chosen as a sacrifice... Where's the fun without a little obstacle?'

-Jealousy-

I shot a glare at the kid that sat next to. "Miss Juliet? Is something the matter?" Speak of the devil. I put on a fake smile and lied to the kid, "I'm fine Selim, just thinking about a few things." "I see... then how about we go play in the garden!" the little brat suggests and starts to pull my arm. I thought to myself secretly, 'Damn brat doesn't know when to shut up! I just want to strangle him already.' As if my prayers were answered, Mrs. Bradley came into the room. "Selim," the calm mother calls, "it's time for Ms. Douglas to return to her duties." Selim pouts at the news and stands from where he sat, then I followed afterwards. That's right. I, the infamous Jealousy, have become a servant of the military.

::Three day's ago::

The first thing that happened right as soon as I came into the Furher's office was this, "I see you've returned from your mission General of the Army." "Huh? What are you talking about you old fart?" questioning what he just said, I raise an eyebrow to show how confused I was. He just chuckles and turns to face me, "I have appointed you the highest rank in the military. Father wants to use you for a highest purpose than just being an errand girl." I face-palm at this thinking, 'I knew this would happen.' "By today you go by the name of Katelyn Douglas," Wrath continues to explain my ranks and purposes. I didn't care one bit. All I want was to go and do my business, but I'm stuck listening to that man.

"So at four o'clock you-" 

"Listen, I don't care about all this crap you put me in. All I ask is for you all to atleast trust me a little and give me some space, and that alsn goes for Pride." 

"We can't allow our strongest asset to run free then that means you wouldn't mind keeping my son company to see if you can be trusted. Selim doesn't like to go out in public."

"I can see why," I scoffed, looking at a certain corner of the room. The shadow slightly moved in place, like as if it was nervous, until it went back to its normal state. My eye brow twitched at this. "From this day onward," a pamplet was tossed across the desk, "you will go by the name Juliet Douglas."

::Present Day::

Since then, I've been stuck with this identity from that day and I haven't been able to do things my way because of that.

-Me-

It was a normal day at Central, literally. My missions were pretty simple; like taking part in investigations, help rebuild towns, and etc. I'm still suspicious on Raven's actions though... I can already tell what was really going just by looking at his face.With Jealousy on their side they probably know that I'm not from here. There are a few things tha has surpised me since I first arrived: 1. I can easily do alchemy, 2. I haven't died yet, 3. The characters from the fma 2003 ver. are here, and etc. I failed miserably at not getting close with anyone though... Ed, Al, Hughes (and family) Mustang, Riza, and etc. I know it's late for me to worry about that stuff after so long, but I still need to know why I'm here. "Miss Cairo there's a phone call for you from East HQ!" Lilith shouts. "Alright I here ya!" I stopped what I was doing and walked out of the small room.

Me: Mustang if this is you again, I'm gonna soak you on the other end!

??: It's only me Cat!

Me: Ed?

Ed: That's sure is a nice way to greet you're former partner.

Me: Shut up shorty! *anime vein* And who gave you the right to call me that!?
