'Humans are weak when facing those stronger than them... In both mind and body they know their no match against
those with a greater power...! So tell me... Truth... Why is she still standing...!?'Chapter 18 ~ The Man with the Scar
-Normal-
"Brother I think we should start looking for Cat now," Al suggests after hours of them sitting on the rooftop of Central HQ. Ed continues to refuse the idea, "Hell no! After what she did... She knew what was going to happen to Nina, and the worst part is we don't even realize it at all from the start like she had!" "She has her reasons Ed! We've kept things from her too, actually to so many people before her!" though he didn't want to admit it, but Al was right. Even though both boys had no idea what to do next, they knew they'll have to look for their missing friend sooner or later till one of them agrees to start the search, and reluctantly Ed was thinking of giving in to his younger sibling's wishes. 'Alice!' The memory of that day suddenly flashed into Ed's head at the sime exact time when thunder erupted in the sky.
::Memory::
"Alice!" Cat continues to cry after the chimera's body was taken away by police, or atleast whay remains of it. "I'm nothong but a hopeless human being...
Horrified, Ed looks up the sky muttering out loud, "She wanted to protect us..." "What?" asks Al who barely heard what his brother just said. Ed explains to him, "She wanted to protect us from the same thing she went through... We made a mistake Al... that Chimera didn't kill her friend... her friend was the chimera! This whole time we thought that the chimera killed her friend when in reality... it was a human being that died that day."
"So all Cat was trying to do is protect us," Al concludes, happy to hear the truth of Cat's real intentions. Ed stands up on his feet with a new glint of determination in his eyes, "Looks like we have some apologizes to do Al. We can't leave Kitty out there in the pouring cold rain." 'Isn't it you're the one who has to apologize?' even though he can't say it out loud to his brother, Al knew it wasn't entirely his fault about the fight and that it was actually all on Ed, but he had to agree with a sweat drop forming at the back of his head. As cruel as fate is, a dark man wearing sunglasses and an x-mark scar on his face walks up to the boys asking one of them, "Are you Fullmetal Alchemist?"
-Me-
Cat: So about the needle thing...
Me: Don't worry! It's slightly on the shoulder so it didn't exactly go all the way to your neck to go all the way to your throat.
Cat: Ok- Hold on! How long was that thing!?It just had to rain today! Sure I hate the desert, but what I hate most about this is that the rain is reflecting exactly how depressed I am after my short argument I had with Ed a few hours ago. 'They must be probably worried about me by now... If only I had gotten there sooner maybe-' I was pulled from my thoughts when a small painful sting erupted on my neck. I placed a hands over it and pulled it back to check how much blood is coming out this time; good news it's not really that bad, bad news is I think the needle is stuck inside flesh. I cursed silently as I tried to pull it out of my neck by force while I can still feel it sticking out of my neck, all I can do is pray that it's not those long freakin' bitches that hurt like hell and that the needle hadn't gone through anything important. "Tucker... you sure have a poor aim to break the needle inside my neck like this..." I growl as I successfully pull half of it out of my neck. At the exact moment I got the whole 5 inch needle out of my neck it, an explosion was heard a few feet away in the exact same direction as where Central HQ is located. The one thing came into my head, 'Ed! Al!'
At first I was going to run in the direction they would be by now if the Elric's encountered Scar by now, but when I remembered the state I left them both in after my short argument with Ed, I started to slow down and then come to a complete halt. I scoff at the idea of saving them, "Hmph! Ed and Al can save themselves! Mustang or Armstrong can save them, I'll only be a burden since I know Scar isn't suppose to be captured." I make the move to turn around and leave, but then a painful sensation swept all over my body in a matter of seconds before I could even take a single step back, and it got worse when lightening erupted in the air around me. Then everything went dark.
