chapter five ;; you should really work on your technique

Rose stared at the floor of the bathroom, her feet swinging a bit as she sat on the sink. Her fingers picked at the already chipped polish on her fingernails, flicking small pieces of dark blue flecks into her lap. Scorpius was digging around under the sink, shuffling around the many useless things that had been shoved under there over the years. He finally found what he needed and pulled back, setting a small bottle of rubbing alcohol on the sink next to Rose, along with a small tube of neosporin and a bandage.

"You know, usually it's me sitting up here, having you wiping the blood off my face." He said, grabbing a rag and picked up the rubbing alcohol, pouring some onto the rag. 

"Well, you usually get yourself into fights on purpose." Rose huffed, backing away a little as he tried to press the rag into the laceration over her eye. 

"But you tripped over nothing. Rose, let me clean it." He sighed as she leaned back. 

"I can do it myself, Malfoy." She protested, reaching for the rag.

"No, you can't. You'll chicken out because you're afraid it'll hurt. " Scorpius smirked, moving one hand to hold the back of her head, the other cleaning the small wound as she squirmed like a child.

Once he pulled away, Rose kicked him gently in the leg, a small laugh coming from the boy. He opened the bandage, pulling off the white tabs and flicked them off to the side. 

"What did you even hit your head on?" He asked, gently placing the bandage over the spot. 

"I dunno, probably the ground." Rose muttered, rolling her eyes and looking away from him. 

Scorpius laughed softly and backed up to let her down, grabbing the alcohol to put it back under the sink. He raised his eyebrows as Rose murmured a small thanks and punched his shoulder gently. He smiled softly as she left the bathroom, Scorpius following her a moment later after shutting off the light.
