"Some unexpected pauses and breaks are important for the speed of life to remain constant."
Izna's POV
We were in the middle of our squabbling session, belligerence evident in our howlings. Given my pugnacious attitude, I was still calmer than usual, but our clash was interrupted by a manly voice."Arey baap re, hanso ka joda hai tabhi itna shor mach raha hai," the door opened suddenly, and our eyes darted up to the rightful owner, a man who looked to be in his mid-twenties, dressed in a uniform of an attendee, his face plastered with the most eldritch smile. The way his smile was widening made our hearts race with fear. He continued further without waiting for our reply.
"Areey humko nahi pata tha Indian Railways naya suhagraat spot hai, not bad sir ji," he said, winking at Adhrit, who hid his body, giving him a disgusted face. I suppressed my laughter watching them.
"Aye sir ji, chinta mat kariye, hum kahan bhabhi ji ki jagah lenge, bhale hi aap very handsome hai." Damn, this man is so fun; this time I couldn't control my laugh. Obviously, I'm the type of person who is most likely to laugh at a funeral too.
"You-You..W- What?" Adhrit asked with pure disbelief.
"Arey sir, aap handsome hai toh kya hua, humari wali aapse zyada khubsurat hai," he stated, comparing Adhrit with his supposed partner, winking at him again. Dang, this man is already in my team.
"Par aap dukhi mat ho, I don't mind having side chicks. Bhabhi ji, aapko koi problem toh nahi hai na?"
I burst out laughing again at his statement, only to earn death glares from Adhrit, but who cares.
"Nahi nahi, mere patidev ki khushi mein hi meri khushi hai," I said, acting better than a TV daughter-in-law.
"Par meri khushi toh meri biwi mein hai, aur jiski khushi mere saath rehne mein hai, haina biwi?" He gestured to me through his eyes to play along and save him. Save my ass, called me clingy, didn't you?
"Arey nahi nahi patidev, aise mat boliye, hume sharam aa rahi hai," I said, covering my face with my hands, trying to act shy.
His eyes widened in complete disbelief; he couldn't believe it was me. Well, acting in those dramatic clubs paid off.
"Kaash humari wali bhi aapke jaise hoti," he said, sighing.
"You wish," I heard Adhrit's remark but ignored him.
"Why did you come here?" He asked the attendee, getting straight to the point.
He strode towards Adhrit. Wait, are they going to kiss? Oh my god, but to my dismay, Adhrit immediately pushed him.
"What?" He roared.
"Arey sir, private baat karni hai, kuch man to man alag chaliye ya main aapke paas aake bolu?" He said, trying to get closer to him again.
"No need, let's talk somewhere else."
"Bathroom mein chale, sir, sirf main aur aap?" He said in such a seductive voice, winking at him.
The sexual tension between them, oh my god, it's killing me. I'm feeling like a third wheel now.
"Huh? What? No, my wife needs me, right jaan?" he said, looking at me for help. If only he was this sweet in real life, I would've never left that wedding altar. But it's too late, suffer, bitch.
"No, you may go. He needs to talk to you. It must be important."
"Arey sir, private baat. Abhi toh bataya, man to man only," saying so, he grabbed Adhrit and locked him inside the bathroom.
