*Coby's pov*

This is just great. The girl I want to ask doesn't even like dances. I feel like if I asked her now, she'll hate me, and to think I bought her a teddy bear and made a poster.

As I was gathering my stuff to leave, Jake walked over.

"What's with the long face, did y/n say no?" he asked.

"No, I didn't even get the chance to ask her, but she'll probably say no anyways," I replied as we started walking

"Why would she say no? I mean, you look decent... ish," Jake said, smiling.

"Ha Ha, very funny," I responded in an annoyed tone.

"You know, I still think you should ask her... I mean, you never know, she could say yes," he encouraged.

As we walked past Y/n's locker, Jake pushed me towards her.

"Oh, hey Colbs... you alright?" she asked, smiling.

I didn't know what to say; I completely froze.

"What is all of this?" Y/n asked, looking at the poster and the bear.

"Will you go to homecoming with me?" I blurted out.

"What?" she asked confused.

"I said... will you go to homecoming with me," I responded in a calmer voice.

"Aww... Colbs, of course I will," she said as she hugged me.

I was so happy in that moment; it felt like a dream. How did I manage to get a date to homecoming with someone as beautiful as Y/n?
