Ok, I know I was ranting about how much I disliked homecoming, but now I found myself genuinely excited to go.
After school, Amy, Hartley, and I went on a dress shopping trip at the mall.
"I can't believe you're going to the dance with my brother... I feel sorry for you," Amy teased.
"Yeah," I responded with a chuckle.
As Hartley emerged from the dressing room, she asked, "Ok, what about this one?"
"Omg, I love it, you have to get it," Amy exclaimed with a smile.
"I agree, it's beautiful," I added.
It was obvious that Hartley adored the dress, so I knew she had found the perfect one.
Amy also found a dress that suited her perfectly. Meanwhile, I tried on a stunning navy blue dress that caught my eye, but I needed Amy and Hartley's feedback.
"Ok, how about this one?" I asked with a smile.
"It's beautiful," Hartley said, smiling.
"You have to get it," Amy added.
After trying on our dresses, we made our purchases and headed home. I hung my dress up, admiring its beauty. I couldn't wait for Colby to see it. The anticipation of his reaction added to my excitement for homecoming.
