YOU BLINKED, and blinked again. you couldn't believe what you were seeing in front of you.
"is this for real?" you asked yourself.
katsuki bakugo looked at you with his brows furrowed in confusion. "what the fuck are you doing?" he asked.
he was wearing a gray hoodie and blue sweatpants. both of his hands were tucked in his pocket as he leaned on the wall in front of you.
kendo called you saying someone was looking for you. you were confused since who would look for you at 8pm and you were even more confused seeing bakugo katsuki in front of class 2-b's dorm.
it has been a week since you last saw him and that was when you had a joint training with them. both of the hero class were just too busy with projects and performances that you didn't have any spare time to pester katsuki, the same goes for him.
"are you under a quirk? are you lost?" you asked as you leaned towards him to check if he was alright.
he moved to the side creating distance between you two. "the fuck are you talking about?!"
you stood up straight and shrugged. "it's a surprise to see you here bakugo and what do you need from me?"
"i'm fetching you to continue where we left off last week." he said.
you let out an amused smile. he really did come all his way to spar with you. katsuki really does hate being in a tie with someone.
you didn't know what got into you when you nodded. you were tired, physically and mentally. it was a tough week with all the school works but you found yourself changing into a comfier clothing before going out of the dorm to meet with katsuki. you walked towards the place where you saw him last week training in the dark.
unlike before, the lamp was open and there stood katsuki waiting for you. when you were near him, he looked at you before standing straight.
you're sure it would be weird if someone saw you having a spar with someone at night. especially if they saw you were with katsuki, the hot headed male from class 2-a.
"you hate leaving it on a tie huh?" you said as you stretched your leg.
he smirked. "you sure do know that."
after stretching you and katsuki went forward to attack one another. both of you didn't use your quirks as it would not mean the same as your match last week.
the two of you were in that for a couple of minutes. if it weren't for aizawa sensei who was walking back to class 2-a's dorm and telling both of you to rest in your respective dorms then you two wouldn't stop.
when aizawa sensei was gone, you slumped onto the grassy ground and catched your breath. katsuki did the same.
"fuck.. ha.. another tie." katsuki groaned in between his breath.
you laughed yet still out of breath. "just.. ha.. admit that... we're equal."
you fell onto the ground as you were literally shaking. now you regret fighting with katsuki, you couldn't even move a muscle. you closed your eyes to gather up your energy. the cold night air compensated for the exhaustion you were feeling.
a foreign yet pleasant sound made you open your eyes fast. you turned to look at katsuki's direction and saw him leaning on the lamp. you were shocked, not because of how exhausted he is or how he wiped his sweat but because of the unfamiliar expression on his face.
the light that the moon was emitting was enough for you to see him.
katsuki was smiling. he let out a small and short chuckle. it was short lived but your ears managed to hear a once in a blue moon sound.
fuck.
your heart started to pump rapidly. you felt your cheeks burn but you don't know why.
am i too tired? is this the adrenaline rush since i was too caught on sparring?
katsuki looked at you, still a small smile plastered his face. "as if dumbass. that was a nice joke."
