"Child..." voice cracking and rumbling, the ancient fallen that had met the earth after being cleanly cut through by the blond human above spoke to her with a barely audible voice. "Why did you...help him?"
The ravenette crossed her arms candidly, smile widening at the sheer contempt being conveyed through tone alone. "Because I wanted to."
Kokabiel was face up towards the night sky as he was laid out on the ground, thin pale lips curled in a grimace that could've passed for a grim smirk for a man like he. "Ah...just like Vretiel..."
He sounded almost wistful for all of a moment, and Raynare's emotional high vanished into the shadows that surrounded them, thrown into the void much like the light it had encountered. Positivity giving way to suspicion; whiplash throwing her off and giving her focus all at once. "Don't pretend like you'd know anything about that woman. I'm nothing like her."
The man that had survived the brutal war between the three Biblical factions where continents were reshapen while cloaked by magical barriers was feeling strangely reflective after getting thrown out his domain by a human. Never before had he felt such humiliation, and it was something that he was still coming to terms with –which may explain why he continued to humor the little girl snarling at him like a golden retriever would growl at a rottweiler. "Ah...yes, it's like looking at a window of the past. I wonder if your mother saw your father in you too?"
An expression of amazement fell over the ravenette, stunned for a beat. She strode forward then and produced a spear of light that broke through the shadows around them and showered them with it's warmth. There was a surprising amount of energy held within the spear for one that only held two pairs of wings; worthy of a fallen that carried three as a matter of fact.
Kokabiel could've smiled at the success of the weapon; of the future of his race.
"What do you know?" she questioned viciously, holding the weapon right above his neck, threatening to gut him if he didn't satisfy her. "You know something; something that Vretiel never told me, and I demand answers."
"That's enough, Raynare."
Pausing at the voice, Raynare obliged only to glance at the young man walking towards the two fallen angels. Her violet eyes narrowing into slits at the blond, seeming almost hostile of him despite their acquaintance.
And to her it was just that. She didn't quite see Uzumaki Naruto; the young man that aided her despite their status as mutual enemies occupying the opposite sides of a battle. No, she saw a human, and felt her lip curl in disgust at that very fact. "How dare you order me like that you-"
Then she blinked again, eyes registering the unique features that the human male carried and matched it with the fond memories she carried of just such a man, and her ire was instantly doused. A dash of shame flooded her at the likely mortal slash that she was about to commit so callously for a moment.
The shinobi didn't react to it one way or another and took another brisk step forward past Raynare and in front of Kokabiel; staring down at the beast of a fallen angel and regarded him coolly. Not saying a word; he let his blood soaked kunai knife hang loosely over a finger through its sole ring at its end speak for him.
"You deserve your title, boy; your actions are...difficult to comprehend." the ancient fallen being complimented the youth standing over him, eyeing him with a cracked open eye. His strange mild attitude sticking after speaking with Raynare prior to the teen standing over him despite the danger he was in. "However, I think I can somewhat understand your being –I've seen your type before during the Great War."
