"Which potion do you think we should start with?" Ahana asked, her voice hushed as they sat in the quiet corner of the library, away from prying eyes. Their potion books, parchment, quills, ink, and a timer lay neatly arranged on the table between them.

James scanned through their potion list, his brow furrowing in thought. "Amortentia? No. Felix Felicis? No. Polyjuice Potion? Ugh, why are we even brewing this? We learned it two years ago!"

"Maybe for daft students like you," Ahana muttered under her breath, unable to resist the jab.

James's expression twisted into a mocking grin. "Maybe for daft students like you," he mimicked, his voice pitched higher to imitate her. "Honestly, Ahana, can't you ever just let things go?"

Ahana huffed in frustration, crossing her arms. "Honestly, can we just be civil for once? At least it'll help us get through this quicker."

"I'm not the one who started it!" James retorted, his voice rising slightly.

"Quiet!" Madame Pince's sharp voice cut through the room, her glare fixed on both of them. James pursed his lips in apology before shooting Ahana a glare of his own.
