Chapter 12

Y/n POV

I am patrolling around since it's morning and I don't have to go in the studio until later on. I already dropped off the kids at school and made their lunch, Rae is asleep since she did a four hour stream. Xolo should be here in a bit since he has a couple days off of filming. Right when I thought of that I see Xolo in his wolf form. "Hey, sis. Sorry it took a while I kinda overslept." Xolo apologized. "It's okay. You need the sleep anyways. Remember our normal patrol I take east you take west and if you smell a leech howl for me." I told him. "Got it." Xolo said before we took off in different directions.

After around four hours we were done since we caught nothing out of the ordinary so we left. I shifted back into human form before heading into the house where I see Rae making herself coffee. I kissed her softly before I made myself some coffee and sat down at the table, it's the weekend so I'm not doing much. The kids are at their friend's house having a birthday party sleepover so it's just me and Rae.

Me and Embry talk all the time when I'm off. He goes on and on talking about Renesme which I found quite adorable. I even met Renesme when the Cullens were at my wedding and she was a very nice girl, perfect imprint for my big brother. So far they have a brother and sister relationship so it won't be weird. I suddenly got an idea and went to my indoor studio as Rae went to her gaming room to stream. I sat down on my chair and grabbed my notebook and started jotting stuff down as I thought of my past, how Leah literally broke my heart in two and never gave me a chance just because I was Sam's little sister.

I also remember before me or Sam phased and him and Leah were still a thing I always told her I was going to be a big star one day. I don't know if she remembers that if she did she would probably know I'm a singer/actress, but if she doesn't that's kinda sad because that was a great memory I have with her that I will cherish forever. When I finished the lyrics I named it "Kids were born stars." I then opened my laptop and made some beats before saving them into my folder named 'unfinished work.' I shut off the laptop and closed my notebook before leaving the studio.

After a while Rae finally finished her stream and came down and sat down on the couch next to me as she sighed. "Hey, you okay?" I asked her. "Just worried about my dad. The doctors said that the cancer is spreading and they don't know how long he will survive." Rae explained to me. Last year after we got back from our honeymoon, Rae and her family found out that her dad has cancer. It's taking a toll on her so that's why I help her as much as I could like cooking, cleaning, taking the kids to and from school. I held her in my arms as she cuddled up into my chest. "Let's hope he beats this cancer." I said to her.

I didn't want her to experience the death of a parent like I did when I was younger and my mom died. That was a sad day for me but Sam was there for me since I was still a kid and he has to grow up earlier than me. During these rough times Rae went full time of being a gamer to help out and not use my money that often. In four days I have a concert in Michigan so I have to pack for a couple days since I'm going to be gone for a bit.

Two weeks later

I was in a meeting for my world tour with my tour manager, choreographer, producers, and Simon going over for what the concert will be like and the different venues of where I'm going to perform. It took two hours going over everything before the meeting ended. After the meeting I went to pick up the kids from school, I first drove to my kids school and see kids come walking out. I went out of my car and stood by the car. I waited for a bit when I see my kids walking out together. Once they saw me they immediately ran to me. "Hey, kiddos. How was school?" I asked them as I helped them into the car.
